Half the CAS issues would be resolved by one of the following; -Increasing the cost of ground strike ordnance. -Decreasing the cost of air to air ordnance -Removing the Pantsir and Kh-38s I will still argue the larger cause of the CAS spam is a direct result of incompetency among players that don’t do anything beyond W + Mouse 1 when fighting any tank with any other. US gets stereotyped for this, but Russia is also just as bad for this (they at least are playing to strengths and can thus get away with it).

@ fair, but Gaijin would never do that when they have the publicly available sources stating otherwise. Better solution would be to just cut them out for swinging the balance of power too dramatically. Otherwise, they should do things like DL Stingers to at least improve close-range AA, ARMs to stop brainded SPAA gameplay (yes, sitting in the spawn to do AA is brainded because of predictability), or things like obscuring smoke/static wrecks/more cover and concealment that restricts air power.

@@mysticalcraft2694 IDK, maybe let Russia have the Tor since they actually develop it, since it still keeps the TWS capabilities and great missiles while only having a 2km max range over most other missile AA, but has a minimum range of about 2km? Let’s not even discuss how they’re still selling the 2S38, which is objectively an overpowered vehicle. The problem with PvP balancing is that complaints are born from perception of an end recipient, and don’t try to account for how it feels from either side. I can say that the best success I’ve had from playing against Russia is to basically stop the Ka-50/2, Pantsir, and Kh-38 spam, and that’s including the smoothbrain play that most players keep falling into. I know some people say that the F-15E will just run rampant, but I wonder how many of them actually tried to get Mavericks to work while facing two or even three Pantsir on a map. Or tried fighting a 2S38 themselves.

I agree however NATO has superior SEAD capability as well. So we will see how it balances out. If planes like the F16C get it's HAD functionality along with HARMS it will be by far the best SEAD aircraft until the F35 makes it's way in the game.

Can't wait for SEAD weapons to be introduced. I mean, our two big contenders are the AGM-88 HARM and the Kh-58. HARM has a long history of a near perfect combat record, granting the US/NATO virtually uncontested air power. 58 has maybe two kills since it's introduction until 2022, and it wasn't from lack of use. It just... sucks, as is especially shown with the current wars Russia is involved in. And it's only kills are all other Russian equipment. Two guesses which one is going to be better in game, and which one will hardly work...

hmmm i wonder if the SU-30SM is being tested for thrust vectoring nozzles since those will be coming in the Russian and Indian vehicle line up pretty soon if not next. The only nation I know which chose not to use the thrust vectoring version of the SU-30 was China since they saw it as a marginal gain and decided not to go with them and eventually using their own engines[which may be to their detriment since they seemingly drink a lot more fuel and their range is allegedly only 2000km-2200km and not the 3000km-4000km that it had with the Klimov engines]

It lacks look down capability, you have to be lower than the target so your radar is looking upwards away from ground clutter.

The Brits have been eating good these past few updates with SPAA, which was really needed as Gaijin don't seem to care much about improving the Stormer HVM lol. We got the ADATS spawn cost reduced back to the SPAA spawn cost instead of TD one; we also got the Stormer AD, Osa-AK, and now potentially a crazy South African SPAA.

I tend to sit in my hidey hole with AA at 12.0 matches radar turned off.. problem is that most maps dont have really anywhere to hide in to keep your system in cover. CAS loiters at 6+ km.. nothing in my arsenal can really hit em if they are not coming at you at that range. in my games SU-34s regularly get 10-20 kills.. I guess you can call that balanced? The scales seem to be tipping in CAS direction even more.

I really hope that Gaijin will add SAMs and early warning radars in Air RB and Air Sim too. Would be cool for new objectives, like take down the enemy SAM network and the enemy team. It‘s not so much needed for ground RB with the amount of long range munitions that the current Jet toptier has (I‘m looking especialy at you SDB and PGM). We absolutely need a ground RB mode without CAS though. Don‘t get me wrong, I also enjoy to bomb some stuff in Ground RB every now and then, but „revenge bombing“ is not only childish but also way too easy.

Fucking finally. It has been needed for a long time. The Tor and Pansir has zero counter. In some matches you spawn in an aircraft way inside the Pansirs kill range. So you spawn in and are instantly dodging telephone poles. SPAAs can currently sit with their radars on without any fear of getting slapped. I’d really like to see some EW type aircraft added to the game. Being able to jam radar could be useful.

For the Su-30, I believe Russia will get the SM, China might get the 30MKK variant, and India uses the MKI. Both are export variants wit different avionics (?) From what I know.

At top tier something like strike eagle vs pantsir is a somewhat even match up the best way I can explain is braindead F-15E vs braindead pantsir = pantsir will win good F-15E vs good pantsir = F-15E will win But still a good pantsir player can shoot down F-15E players ordanance and stall for its team and defend its team. but it will have a very hard time killing a good F-15E pilot. You dont have to kill the F-15E just delay it. and a good F-15E player will kill a pantsir if he wants to. It will just cost alot of ordanance SEAD will give the more braindead F-15E players the ability to shoot back at the pantsir I dont think it will change much because the pantsir can still shoot down SEAD ordanance as any other guided weapon. and I think SEAD will ordanance will be alot more limited compared to regular guided ordanance and I wonder how SEAD will distinguish enemy radars and your teams radars because IRL opposing air defenses will never operate this close to each other

The Indian Air force uses the Su30 MKI which out performs MKK/MK2 in maneuverability with its canards and thrust vectoring engines. MKI has superior range compared to MKK (3,000 km vs 5,000 km and 8,000 km at a cruise height of 11 to 13 km with air refueling system. MKI uses the H011M radar, this can search away from 160 kilometers, may simultaneously catch 6 goals. The MKK radar is H001M, the search is away from 100 kilometers, may simultaneously attack 2 goals. Some Su-30MKI have upgraded to carry Brahmos supersonic cruise missile with 300+km range, and the plans have been initiated to develop MKI into super sukhoi series. So in short India has the best SU 30 variant because its the backup bone of IAF and has been constantly upgraded.

Su 30SM has 3D thrust vectoring and the most modern ones can carry R 77-1 and even the R 37M. It is also the most maneuverable in the flanker series of fighters, surpassing even the SU 35 in one circle turn fights. It has nearly the UFO like flight performance of the SU 57.

not quite, they said in the last Q&A a couple days ago that its just not seen as a priority or strictly needed - which again just echo's what they have said in the past. But i would put money on ARM's coming to the game within 2025 if long range multipiece AA's come to all nations, purely due to player demand just the same as the multipathing changes got quickly pushed through during fox3 update even tho BVVD himself said they wouldnt change it.
