Thank you for this video. Just subscribed. When bolting down the cylinders, the SeaDoo manual instructs, moly coat on the threads loctite 243 (blue) under bolt head. Just trying to get this right. Thank You.

I recently purchased a 2004 Sea Doo Sportster LE DI. The engine needs a rebuild. Where do you buy your parts? I need a new cylinder jug.

do you just need new sleeves or an entire jug ?

@@SeadooRefurb I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm hoping to get away with either boring or re-sleeving, but it could end up needing a new jug. It looks like they are hard to come by. Where do you source your other parts; pistons, crankshaft, gasket kits, valves...? Just out of curiosity (I'm starting a rebuild and am wondering what I got my self in to) how much does it typically cost you to do a top end rebuild on a 951? Thank you for all your info!

Also. Do you have a video on how to measure piston to wall clearance? Ring gap? I’m in the middle of building 2 engines. My first time 😅

That will be in the next video . I have never recorded that procedure as I usually get the piston and rings sized by the shop that does the cylinder boring. (They grind the rave valves as well at the same time)

On the oil pump. It has two marking correct. Wich one is it set to? More or less oil

I use the one that adds more oil.

For the head bolts I do the reverse. Loctite on the threads and molly coat on the flat part of the bolts.
