Did you have to release fuel line pressure somehow before disconnecting fuel lines?

Made that mistake, (fuel in my face) I pulled the fuel pump relay and cycled the engine. injectors fire a couple times and then the pressure was relieved. then dis connect.

Did you ever figure out the hesitation? I have a 2001 rxdi that hesitates at 43-45 mph. (I should check rpm at it relates to rpm not speed). I just installed a new engine as it blew up last year. Same issue with new engine. I put in new coil packs, fuel injectors...same issue. ( I have a 2nd parts machine so not buying all these parts). Any advise would be awesome. Outside of that range the machine starts and runs perfectly.

Changed fuel filter and plugs and haven't had a problem.
