SEADOO RXP325 RACES AND ALMOST SINKS

We raced Tyler’s new 325 RXP against my fx SVHO to see a good comparison and to see if a stock 325 was faster than a Yamaha without a governor. Well we raced and then shortly after we had major issues. Tyler’s water line on the front of his motor blew off and tons of water came into the ski and it was on its way to sinking. Luckily we already had the seat off and knew and it didn’t have any issues after but the dealership we bought it from must not have tightened any hoses before the ski was sold. That’s the same thing I was thinking did they have a shut off valve because if they didn’t, they just filled the motor up with water

Ya the hose came off and when the motor was running water was coming in

Did you use a tow tap of any kind? I thought towing a ski over 5 mph can cause water to feed into the engine.

OEM is a closed loop system

@@jeffreylonghr According to the manual: Special precautions should be taken when towing a Sea-Doo watercraft in water. The maximum recommended towing speed is 8 km/h (5 MPH). This will prevent the exhaust system from filling with water, which may lead to water being injected into and filling the engine. Without the engine running, there isn't any exhaust pressure to push the water out the exhaust outlet.

@@boandjill 2 strokes pinch water line 4 strokes you can do the same although never had a problem with the past 25 skis ive had including 3 hour off shore racing. Then again i dont get towed lol long as your going slower your fine we never did lol

That's why They call them "Sink Doo" very tipical on them.I had one gtx 2020. At 28hrs and start getting water inside do the carbon seal.Now I have a Kawasaki 310 when you are off shore there you know who is who and how the Craft is made of.hope you get to fix your sea doo but it'll happen again..

Oh trust me. I’ve had 4 seadoos. 3/4 had carbon seal issues

Same guys claiming they're terrible are the ones jumping them, misaligning the drive shaft and then wondering why they sink. 76 hours on my RXTX and not an issue at all. Take care of your stuff and it will take care of you. 310 is a great offshore ski though!

@@badm0t0rf1ng3r well they are jetskis you tend to catch air when riding them fast in rough water and they are “racing” jetskis so they should be able to handle it. My seadoos I’ve had in the past I took extra good care of and still had issues

@Jetskiracingchannel right I agree but a lot of these guys abuse their skis and then are upset when they fail. I've jumped mine a few feet but you see these dudes jumping them off huge waves and wondering why they sink... I'm not saying it's every case but I've seen it a ton. I have a seadoo gtx in my family that is just shy of 30 years old and it runs like a champ because it's well taken care of. It's had 2 carbon seals that have lasted about 12 years each, that were replaced during off season lay up.

@@Jetskiracingchannel and an out of the box rxpx or rxtx is not a racing ski. Unless you're running box stock class. Kommander GP1 or a Bullett are race skis you can buy.
