To add a French touch I recommend Pernod as the liquor. It’s a very soft licorice flavor. And Gruyère cheese. It melts beautifully and has a soft round texture.

Imma try your way I see ppl putting heavy cream n cream cheese and shallots and onion. When I go get mine I could taste the butter and garlic and spinach and cheese. Non of the other stuff I been seeing ppl do. I like the bacon tho. Gonna buy some more oysters tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe

I am heading to Florida's panhandle tomorrow where I will be able to get my hands on some of the world's best oysters (St. George Island). I can not wait to try your recipe; it is exactly what I've been looking for.

Just made these following the recipe to a T but using a muffin pan, because I can't get fresh oysters. Great recipe! Have family in town and just made these, everyone was floored.

I love it!! Exactly how I cook. A handful of that, a splash of this and a pinch of that. I never measure and it comes out perfect everytime but never the same. No offense but Isn't hard to taste the oyster with all that cheese? It's sapposed to complement the oyster not overpower it, right?

Can I prepare the topping ahead of time by putting them in the fridge?
@EverydayGourmetWithBlakely8 жыл бұрын
+KN Sure! I would just recommend letting the topping come to room temperature before you put it on the oyster!

That may be tasty, but it is NOT oysters Rockefeller. Oysters Rockefeller uses a compound butter made with watercress (no spinach involved!), green onion, Italian parsley and celery. NO spinach and NO bacon. This is "oysters Blakely", which is fine, just don't call it Rockefeller.
