Fettuccine Frutti Di Mare is a sumptuous Italian seafood pasta dish that combines the rich flavours of the ocean with the comforting familiarity of pasta. The recipe typically features a medley of fresh seafood such as shrimp, mussels, clams, and calamari, cooked in a flavorful tomato-based sauce infused with garlic, white wine, and herbs.
To prepare this dish, begin by cooking the fettuccine pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. In a separate pan, sauté minced garlic and finely chopped onions in olive oil until fragrant. Add a splash of white wine and let it simmer to reduce slightly before adding in canned tomatoes or fresh tomatoes, crushed red pepper flakes, and a bouquet of herbs like basil, parsley, and oregano.
Next, add the seafood to the sauce, starting with the clams and mussels, followed by the shrimp and calamari. Cover the pan and let the seafood cook gently until the shells of the clams and mussels open and the shrimp turn pink. Be careful not to overcook the seafood to keep it tender and succulent.
My Frutti di Mare pasta pairs long Fettuccini noodles (use the pasta that you enjoy the most) with a flavourful light red sauce with mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari rings, but you can use whatever seafood you enjoy. You can also use scallops, lobster and it'll taste fantastic. After all it's your dinner, so you decide. Whether you want an easy weeknight meal or a recipe to impress a dinner party crowd, this easy seafood pasta recipe is ready to eat in about a half-hour. Your family and friends will love it!
My family couldn't get enough!

I was concerned about “Smokin” the cigar. Felt it would put off many people! But thank you for your comments! Happy cooking!

I was just chatting with The Smokin’ Chef and he stands to be corrected. He apologizes for this error but cannot change the thumbnail. Thank you for bringing it to his attention. He always appreciates feedback from his subscribers. Enjoy the recipes and happy cooking! 👨‍🍳 Please see explanation below: Only one is correct, in italian, and since this is an italian dish, it's fettuccine, with the final E. the i, in general, is the masculine plural ending. the e is usually the feminine plural ending. And fettuccine is the plural of the feminine noun fettuccina, which is the diminutive of fettuccia, meaning ribbon.

Great video! This is my wife’s favourite dish. Can it be made with risotto in a blush sauce? A tomato sauce seems much thicker than broth. Not sure how that will affect the risotto. Consider me SUBSCRIBED!!

My family used cornstarch instead of flour. Thoughts?

Cornstarch is a very versatile ingredient. It most certainly can be used for dispelling grit for mussels. Thanks for the input!
