The cool thing about the 40mm is that it keeps the shape of the original case "38mm"

Exactly, same configuration, same movement! It's just that little better of a fit for the bigger wrists amongst us!

The 40mm is indeed the more common for bigger wrists. If you have a smaller than average wrist the 38mm should do just fine but we see that a lot of people prefer the 40mm size these days :) Kind regards Vincent from the Seagull1963.org team!

I'm so torn about the 40 vs 42 I have a 16.5cm wrist, and I know the 40 will look great. Part of me still want the 42 because I want the 22mm lug width for straps I already own. It's the same lug to lug on the 40vs42 so it should sit about the same way, it's just the dial "presence" I'm wondering about.

100% sure go for the 40mm since this watch can comfortably worn smaller due to the vintage looks :)

Shame the 40mm used the 38mm hands and don’t make it all the way to the track
