Nice sound accompanied with clear and skillful picking. Thanks. Love to have the email address of this luthier. Maybe my next step up in the Mando selection.

Wow... sounds amazing. The playing.... well and the mandolin. Thank you. I love every Seagull instrument I have. This one may have to be next.

Beautiful playing. I love how your mouth moves too ... reminded me of John Hartford when he played fiddle. I love the Seagull stuff. I've only seen one of these, and it had serious set up problems, and didn't sound that great, but watching this video makes me want one. Maybe one will fall in my lap, and I'll put a few hours of setup on it, and get the right pick and strings, and will fall in love? It is spring time almost isn't it? St. Patties day Thursday!

Very nice. I just picked up there Merlin. Great sound for very little. If I ever see the S8 in town I will pick it up. Kind of reminds me of the old Flatiron days. One of my larger mistakes was not picking up one of those when they were about $300.

Finally a demo with someone actually playing it. Thanks. I tried one out at a music store yesterday. I really liked it too. Best mando that I have ever played at that price point. Far superior to any import. Nice clear bright tone. Comfortable to play. Great beefy neck. I don't need another mando but I am struggling with myself not to go pick this puppy up. Lol. Cheers!

Does it come with that tune in it?

Sounds great! Kind of like a banjo, except good! ;-) I (heart) my Seagull mando.

I have one of these in burnt umber on its way to me. It will be ages before I can play like this though!

I think you sound best on this instrument.

Some pretty playing! Got a question for you: Do you think there’d be a good spot on that thing to install a strap button around the neck heel? Thinking of getting one of these, to replace my little starter mandolin, but really prefer the ergonomics of strap location at the heel area instead of tying it around the headstock. Thanks.

Note that this recording has alot of reverb on it to make it sound nicer so it's not very representative of how it sounds.
