I just love this whole episode of Seagulls' Nest And I just love Tarja's laugh when she sees the Karelian pasties😂 (By the way, I love Karelian pasties. They might look a little weird but the they taste really good) It has rie dough and it is filled with riseporrige. After they are baked you put them in oven for a while. Seagulls' Nest is a format that these guys made here in KZbin where they are interviewing, I believe mainly Finnish metal and rock musicians. From example they have had Noora Louhimo from Battle Beast. The guys who created this have a kinda of a hillbilly band called Steven'n Seagulls. They have made covers of other metal songs. I also got to meet Tarja last year and she is absolutely very nice, warm and humble person. You can really have a nice and genuine conversation with her. Edit: yes, the songs were Until My Last Breath (Tarja's song) and Sleeping Sun (Nightwish).

This is so much fun. The whole Seagulls Nest series is worth to watch, and you should definitely react to some Steve 'n Seagulls. Most reactors start from their "Thunderstruck" cover.

"every woman uses her own mold" that took me WAY too long to get sjdjjdjwjh but now it's killing me😂 4.Folksy Sleeping Sun 🌞 5. how comfortable the atmosphere during the whole episode was, it's sort of very calming to watch.. Part 2. Blue grass/folk Symphonic rock/metal. 😂 Tarja has come far in her years of music making. I have faith she would find a way to make singing the phone book sound great. Yes that 2nd tune is a 3rd version of Sleeping Sun. If it isn't obvious Tarja is royalty in the minds of her Finnish fans and her Winter Storm world wide. If you go to EAR music my suggestion is to look up her Outlanders project. Electronic music. Stripped down sound with a beautiful message about the history of Antigua the Carribean Island it was recorded on.

Have you not really watched this bands videos before? Yes, you have! It is the same band! Steve`n`Seagulls from Finland! And this is their TV-show/series with different famous Finnish vocalists (metal). You might know Noora Louhimo from "Battle Beast", Timo Kotipelto from "Stratovarius"- the Grandfather of Power Metal...etc.

Thanks for reaction to the video. It showed more of Tarja's character. She's a little crazy. There isn't much information about her here, but it's still fun. The first song that Tarja played is her own song Until my last Breath and is a response to Tuomas's song Cadence of her breath. It's a message directly to him. The second song is really Sleeping sun, and I have to say I like this version the best. It was never really my favorite song. I like Tarja, in jeans or a dress, always charming

I got to say, that, personally, I think that it isn't a responce to Tuomas. I have heard that Tarja has said that the song is more about that how we sometimes appreciate things and people only after they are gone. That is just what I have chosen to believe. But if that is your interpretation, it's cool.

I read some NW song analyses, and without them I would not have noticed the connection between the two songs, because Cadence of her breath is not such a well-known Nightwish song. And Tarja will never say that any of her songs relate to NW. She wants each listener to find their own meaning that relates directly to them. So the interpretation you mention is also correct. Artists rarely tell you what they were thinking when they wrote the song. Cadence of her breath is actually a longing for further inspiration when the muse is gone. So Tarja's answer that you only appreciate things when they are gone is apt. She never even said that Diva was related to that infamous letter. But we all know why Diva is such an iconic Tarja's song. 😉

Okay those who are not Finns: every Finn knew immediately that Tarja would absolutely crush him on that Karelian pasties competition 😂 Karelian pasties are traditional Finnish food. Really popular all over Finland and you can buy them in all stores and people also like to make them themselves. It was developed in the Karelia region, exactly where Tarja comes from and in those regions especially it is a tradition that mothers teach girls how to make them.

This format kind of reminds me of Daryl’s House which was a TV show set at Daryl Hall’s house. (Hall and Oates). He had so many great musicians there. No contests but lots of singing and eating.
