there are brand new yachts having it installed. some yacht makers are putting seakeepers in every yacht they build or have it as an option in the design of the yacht. 30% of seakeeper installs are retrofits.

it can be used both. they can also put in a stabilizer control so it works on forwards and backwards motion as well.

@@toomanyaccounts Wrong-o, Marylou. Seakeeper has a "forward/backward" gyro that will ONLY control torque along the transverse axle. The unit is NOT mounted for side-to-side gyro pitch. And anything that keeps the ship flat means you'll never get to plane, you'll never go OVER a wave, and will likely see blue water pouring over your bow often enough to flood your boat.
