On the first Wednesday of every month, our volunteers in Southern California gather at the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge (SBNWR) in Seal Beach, California to cleanup the plastic & other immeasurable amounts of rubbish that filter through this wetland.
This huge wetland area is home to several endangered birds. It encompasses almost 2,000 acres of wetlands & is a critical habitat for migrating & local birds. What doesn't get cleaned up by our team has a possibility of making it into our oceans.
It is our mission to remove as much plastic & rubbish as possible to protect this beautiful landscape & the animals that call it home.
