you can agree or DISAGREE with this statement: there was a time these topics were not spoken about like a TV talk show like this. i served in both iraq/afghanistan. the majority of the 8 yrs (contractor) in kabul. you conduct yourself properly, ethically and such yes-in a war zone and "things" happen. IF you were requried to lethally engage the enemy. you do so. I do not know Shawn but passivly watch. some content is good and appropriate (retired guys, ect/vietnam). this is not. I am not saying i am all that but IF i was ever asked to be on any of these "talk allot" show: thank you. NO thank you. my integrity is worth more that yapping to the public and not ALL who watch these show are "good" upstanding persons of society. (nobody tells you that part). t you do not go on a TV show and "talk" about it like a sporting event you attended years ago. for me and most of the guys i served with: you come home, maybe speak to your colleagues about, maybe selected mature family and friends and that is all. there is NO need or productively to be on a public podcast yapping and talking of "there i was as a sniper in war XYZ". IF this person wants to talk out what happened go to the VA or any Councilor and do it in private and therapy. you do it in private-that is where healing come from. remember eddie gallagher? (navy SEAL) no charges, zero-multiple tours. he goes on 60 mintues flaps his yap and talk, talk and "talk". month later Federal Charges for torture and death and he is locked up. so there is a wise "legal" aspect to keeping your mouth shut on "TV". the reason these shows are popular: we have a 18-30yoa couch potato generation (mostly) that sit and watch, click, subtribe and buy the jellybeans and coffee mugs and make Ryan and others allot (much) money on YT and analytics. i respect my own service and time and this person. I do not respect NOR agree with him being on a talk show speaking of talking human life. we did what we did "there" and came home. what we did is NOT public information or for sale in a book or for sale in podcast. my 2.5 cents. so much for the original SF motto of: The Quite Professionals.

A 300 Win Mag is a very good flat shooting platform! The scope costs much more than the rifle, that's where the importance comes in, besides the shooter which is the most important side of the equation.

Trump is very unsophisticated about making these comments. But the truth is, there have been real bilateral discussions since at least WWII about the U.S. buying Greenland, largely due to national and international security concerns. The Thule military base flows from the same concerns and is mutually beneficial. If Denmark, or now Greenland itself, wants to join the U.S., ok. If not, I think there is very little to worry about here. What Trump does likely want is stronger ties for mutual defense, and possibly for mutually beneficial economic reasons due to the arctic opening up more for trade and currently being dominated by Russia. Denmark, Greenland, and Canada currently hold most of the arctic border regions with Russia, but all are largely incapable of adequately monitoring, let alone deterring, Russia rearming of the north.

@afg3643 hello, i understand your position, and respect that. I served i Iraq and can understand your position. I also always kept a "Low Pro". Never been nor want to expound on that time. That stated, Men & Women have always talked, spoken about their wartime experiences for a long long time way back to WWI. These experiences are translated via different mediums e.g. books, news articles, and now Pod Casts. I agree to not boast or become arrogant when telling said stories. But, be respectful of those that didn't make it home, and don't give away the farm.....

@@PaulHilliard-yl7fm well phrased and thoughtful comment. we can pick and choose around all the YT "tall allot" NS and military shows. without question (collectively) they reveal, talk and expose way too much of: vetting, tactics, training, ect. my dad was a tanker in europe in WW2. only at the VFW or AL posts would they talk and such. it is not an issue of talking and communicating of your service: it is putting it on YT for anyone to hear ANYONE. notice 90% are tier one or SF or this "sniper". like if there are no and never been other personnel in other jobs the military but them. why?: marketing to the Xbox couch potato's. unfortunately with the money to be made with analytics on YT ("numbers") all reason, common sense has left and nowhere to be found. peace.
