I’ve seen where people take a torch and lightly go over the boards to burn out the soft wood then go over it with the mix you used.

Get a garden sprayer put just straight diesel in it and coat the under side of the boards. Looks good.

I would of gotten a garden sprayer. But I'm lazy like that 😂. You check to see if they sealed the underside? Don't want it soaking up water from underneath. Here in Michigan I spray the frames with oil in the fall time to protect from the road salt. She's looking good. Can't wait to see her start paying you back

Trying to get up under it is a good idea, but unless you can get it a couple feet in the air, and a way to move under it swiftly, that's gonna be a GINORMOUS P.I.T.A. A lot cheaper than Thompson water seal . I’d definitely mix some in a garden sprayer and do the under side .

Good point. Saw another guy use the garden sprayer to spray underneath the wood deck as well to protect the underside.
