I’m only at 9:57 but had to stop to comment. I recommend a Wolfbox dashcam/rear view camera. I have the G900 in one car, and G900 pro in the other. I personally recommend the G900 NON-pro based on my personal experience. But I also have the 900 rear camera inside the car looking through my rear window, with the 900 pro mounted outside on the other car. I get heavier “starbursts” driving in the dark with the pro, but would absolutely recommend them for this build, as you could mount the camera on the rear plate, or however you choose and it could be used with or without the camper. Thanks for your time guys, good luck and I will keep up with the videos when I can!

Most vehicles have a third brake light around the rear window, trucks would have it above, would have been nice to see for a more factory look but it's probably not necessary and a lot of extra work. that sheet metal definitely could have had some texture rolled into it for more rigidity but it turned out really sweet!

I've built a few customs and had to "create" a panel for a rear pick-up style window ... if you use 1/4" x 1/4" square tube and weld in to the inside of your window cut out about 1/4" from the edge, its will prevent that "oil canning" effect and keep everything from moving. once that 1/4" square tube is put in place, you can attach it to the other structures inside the cab to make it more solid. Hope that makes sense. That should also prevent having to make those relief cuts. Maybe i missed it and you did something like this, but i didnt see it. Right, wrong or otherwise..its fun to watch you guys go through the process of building something like this.

You can tell the importance of the cuts based on the improved quality of the cardboard template. I know its too late now, but it would have probably been better to fold over the sheet metal on the window down so you could double the strength and stop it from waving.

First of all, I don't understand why you can't wrap bare metal, I would love an explanation. As for the paint job, I thought the light color primer was a better color. I can't wait to see if it'll haul a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood plywood. Sidenote, from your thumb nail and title, I expected to see a late 90s F150 with a Porsche motor. Nice surprise, by my definition, though still a car(El Camino/Subaru, Brat). Very cool nonetheless.
