I’m a 15 year old aspiring to be a navy seal. I saw this challenge and was inspired to try a 20 minute plank following the same rules as them. At the 20 minute mark I decided to keep going, and I’m ashamed to admit but at around 23 minutes I fell and stayed there for a couple minutes but after 5 minutes of self pity I got back up and finished the 45 minutes, I have some work to do mentally but I will be a navy seal this is a promise to myself.

you do the plank in resting like the video or a forearm plank?

Fair enough, coach. I had posted a comment on that other video about it not being a good plank, but I understand where you're coming from. Congrats to you on the success of SEAL Fit and all the best in continuing to move forward.👍

There had been so many comments we felt the need to share out thought process. Took us awhile though.

I watched this video probably 100 times before I went through the 2014 3 week Academy and Kokoro 33, this video allowed me to prepare for this and we eventually did something like this the first day. I loved every second of that Academy and miss it!

Getting back into the plank position and continuing the exercise after a "brief rest" is a feat in itself. Keeping on!✌🏽

Hi coach Divine, I am the owner of SEALFIT IN 8 WEEKS, and want to do the 5 Mountain exercise, but it's not explained in the book, how to perform the different moves. Can you help me? Thanks
@sealfit6 жыл бұрын
Hey Power Shifter, 5 Mountain Training is essentially integrating Physical, Mental, Emotional, Intuitional, and Kokoro (spirit) into your training. There is a lot to unpack in there and if you really want to begin training the 5 mountains, I recommend picking up a copy of Unbeatable Mind the book, or looking at the Unbeatable Mind Foundations Course. We just re-did the entire Foundations Course and it is a great guide with a lot of videos and exercises.

I wish you guys could come to lebanon to do this as I cannot come to USA. I got the 8 weeks to sealfit and haven't completely begun with it as there are things I am lacking and building. I am a hard gainer, my muscles suck so I'm actually embracing the suck by working on the first week as along as I can till I can move up. Although I am having some difficulty doing this alone in organizing the workouts depending on the book. I learned box breathing to relax. I also have a pelvic shift so to me its posture, pushing myself, building myself. To sealfit people, what shall I buy after 8 week to sealfit and do I have to make move up after I complete 8 weeks or can I combine

All due respect, the high plank is a suitable alternative to the forearm plank....curious, did your instructors do the plank hold with them? Or did they just walk around barking out commands and feeding their own egos....i can tell you where I would've been. Just saying.....
@sealfit6 жыл бұрын
You know it depends on the day. I have seen both, but more often than not, the instructors participate with the group. Mark loves a good plank hold. The man believes training is as important as breathing.

Kind of useless to state a 45min plank and no one is in a plank position or holds your position in constant. Proper definition of goal to be achieved needed to be defined. Because when evaluated by others, no one met the 45min hold nor did they meet the plank criteria. Dont mean to be over critical, but at the same time when under evaluation the 45min plank attempt was a failure in its process, compiled by excuses made as to all the flaws made during the process. So, the take away. We can all learn from our mistakes. Let's acknowledge our mistakes and eliminate the excuses. Still, good job to all the participants the success is your, the failures are the instructors.
