As a mixed half Indonesian, when I was young, I was never proud to be Indonesian, why couldn't I be from Thailand or Europe, why Indonesia, but as I got older and traveled, I became so greatful to be apart of this country. Thank you sir for showing the world this place and its people authentically, it really means alot. Hope to see you visit the Lesser Sunda Islands (aka the islands following Lombok and all other eastern islands until Timor). Also one more thing, just for people who don't know much about Indonesia, Indonesia isn't really one group of people, we're kind of like the U.S.A. interms of it not being one country but a group of them, with their own belief and languages (Although Islam has unfortunately replaced these unique beliefs). If you saw a map of all the ethnic groups the country has it looks like the Balkans tenfold. So really depending on where you go there will be completely different things to be found only that area has and no where else.

@@hurindturambar it's not just Islam, Christianity took over a lot of Easter islands, but I used Islam not only because it is the extreme majority, so much so that it controls most of our politics, but also because my Indonesian half comes from the Sundanese, where most are Muslim, yet we have our own beliefs known as Sunda Wiwitan which has been for the majority of Sundanese forgot or neglected as it overlaps with the Islamic belief of one God. And I know that we are definitely not the only ones to have our own ethnic beliefs forgot or neglected because of a foreign outside culture.

Remember this, religion is also an ideology, ideology is dead if nobody like it and embrace it anymore just like communism, and also it's not a conscious being so you can't blame it. It is the people, who choose what to believe and to follow. Sunda, Batak, they choose their religion on their own and let them be. Tradition is not just doing what your ancestor used to do, they are all dead and nothing they can do, it is Us who decide what our tradition is and what is good for us. I know what my ancestors used to do and they were pagan, and honestly i don't want to believe everything what they believed and do everything what they did, am i wrong for that? I'm sure you wouldn't believe wiwitan and do every of it's rituals and way of life yourself😂.

For Your Information Indonesia is not islam/muslim country because Indonesia not use sharia law, Indonesia use secular moderate law as the positive law. Fun fact about Indonesia: Indonesia have the biggest nightclub in Asia called The H club located in Jakarta, Indonesia have the biggest Jesus statue in the world located in north sumatra, and Indonesia have the biggest hindu temple in Southeast Asia called murugan temple located in Jakarta

and the first mystery meat you ate was actually egg! its called 'telor gulung' and the other one were probably chicken meatball mixed with gelatine and sausages. and the one you ate on 16:20 is 'gorengan' its basically fried things with batter, it's a really popular street snack in Indonesia and very cheap too.

Hey Seal if you’re staying in Sumatra any longer, Try go to places like Padang, Nias Islands & Tambling wildlife conservation park. Last place I mentioned still have the reservations of the Sumatran Tigers that still roam around & you may able to spot them🙂🤙

I think you are lucky cause you have the Camera, without them you have big chance to have bad experience with the locals (Extort for money, Raise the ticket price, Mark up the price for food and Drink)that's the problem with Indonesia tourism except in Bali (even i as an Indonesian, didn't want go to Toba without local Guide), pls if you go outside of the city make sure you have a local guide ,especially outside Java and Bali.
