@@nicholasjohnson6724 Yeah, I might be a little bias but the 70s was the best decade in the history of music, freedom, long hair and fun. Things seem to be so much simpler back then. 🙂✌☮ PS. and the women in hot pants, tube tops and bra less. I you can't get the women out of my head but why would I want to. I love the women then and now.

For those of us in that time era , it was magical fun . This band was at their peek they provided a unique sound track that was different . If you listened to the so called soft / pop rock , you where a wimp . Today not so ; tunes like this take me back to an innocent time . Rock was still King of my musical taste but the modern contemporary music sound I grew into and I enjoy to this day . Oldies just seem to stick around With the variety of music today and you-tube is a temporary relief of the woo's of the world today . And yes you and I miss those grand ol' days . 03/30/2022

@@Chaomhainn Oh for sure rock was king. I was a young aspiring rock star myself. With my guitar. I never became a rock star but did play professionally for about 10 years. You're also right about if you listen to soft rock you would be labeled. I am guilty of harassing some people for listen to soft rock but it was a joke. Because with my girlfriend who liked it and I wouldn't admit it but I loved it too. Lol back then we walked around like hard rock fans. To be totally honest rock was easy to learn. So most of the time I was trying to learn to play and sing the great singer song writer stuff. Now when I play to relax its all I play besides my own song. Yes seal&crofts, John Denver, America jim Croce and so many more. Now soft rock and original music in that same vibe. I guess I acted like a Rock-n-Roll punk trying to be cool. But I still can't believe how cocky I was. Well time change and I still listen to rock but I rather hear those great acoustic songs. The only difference is I'm to old for that foolishness. Thanks for your reply!🙂✌❤👍

Harry Nilsson released “Lime in the Coconut” in the summer off 72, the same time Seals and Croft had a hit with summer breeze. In addition, the Doobie Brothers would release “Listen to the Music” as a single that fall. Who’s Next came out in 1972, as did Fragile, by Yes. And I can’t forget Jethro Tull and Thick as a Brick. As the 60s came to an end, I didn’t think music could get much better than the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Association, and so many other bands, too numerous to list. For me, the greatest music came out between 1970 and 1974. That is not to ignore the many great bands and solo artists who provided the soundtrack for my life through the 1980s.

Sad to hear of Jimmy Seals' passing. My first concert was Seals & Crofts. I was about 13 or 14 years old. I purchased my own ticket at the ticket booth outside of Washington Park Race Track (horses) in Homewood, Illinois. My ticket was for the fourth or fifth row slightly off of center stage. Yes, that was on the main floor! No such thing as Ticketron back then. Can't do that today. To say that this show was great would be a major understatement. The lights, the sound, the crowd, and famous people performing on stage. I didn't need reefer to get high. It was the whole experience that was so special. One thing I remember is at one point Jimmy Seals hit an odd high note during one song. At the end of that song he explained that he took a breath in and swallowed a gnat which got a mixture of laughter, and ewws from the crowd. Some years later this venue burned to the ground. Being a kid I didn't follow the news, but in retrospect I wouldn't be surprised if the mob were responsible.

Ahhhh.. The drummer of my youth, and my life for that matter. Jeff was so, so ahead of his time, and so gifted, learning from the masters, and his heros, Keltner and Jim Gordon. In my opinion, there will NEVER be another drummer who had the pocket, time, and groove that Jeff Porcoro had, never!!!

As a kid in 1977 age 9 I remember summer breeze on my little bicycle radio from radio shack that I got for Christmas of 1976 and in the summer of 1977 I was laying on a beach towel sun tanning up on our friends garage roof in mid hot July in Kelowna BC Canada when I spent the summer there that year. This song came on the radio I had and me and my four friends noticed right away that when this song summer breeze came on a nice warm breeze sweet over us and all five of us said,: " oh holy shit"!!! Then we laughed and all sang along with this song and we got it down to a T just flawless. Some girls walking by heard used stopped, and watched us singing then clapped for us whistled at us and gave us their names and phone number. Oh man it was pure heaven that Saturday mid July of 1977 .Yet today it's gone the magic it's gone!!! 🎶🎶🎶🧲😻😜🧲🤤
