I have a two tone 139k that sounds and feels very similar to that 144k. I think they are hidden gems of the line up. Super big, very open altissimo, blow more flute-like. They are more delicate sounding than something like an early 5 digit, but they have lots of color! Joe henderson type thing.

the 53 sba and 83 mk vi sound the best to my ears. the 34 sba sounded a little stuffier. fantastic horns either way!

the 53xxx is great. the 88k is drier, but also thinner.

Acheter un vieux saxophone totalement usé et dont les jeux du clétage sont tels qu’il faille le réviser tout les trois mois ,et tout cela a un prix totalement aberrant,ça sera sans moi! Les nouveaux sax sont de très bons produits et avec des sonorités bien supérieures au mauvais markVI ,car dans le lot des millions de productions,il ne sont pas tous excellents,arrêtez la surenchère. Perso j’opterais pour un ishimori vintage,un schagerl T66 ou un superbe Eastman 865 52em rue … Modernes et excellents !!!
