Yeah, I remember the TV-series from when I was a kid. That’s where the trading post was set up, and also there were dinosaurs in one episode, and Clayton’s sister or lover or something trying to kill Tarzan, and then one where he almost got beheaded. I think IMBD actually lists the Tarzan and Jane episodes as Seasson 2 (I do think I actually saw them airing separately at some point as well), so if I had to guess, with no research done, they had those episodes done, or mostly done, but got canceled, and forced a movie out of it instead to see if they could make a quick buck out of mostly pre-existing material

Hi Seamus, I wanted to address this as a Black subscriber of yours since I didn't really see it in the comments, but I appreciate you putting your support in for our brothers and sisters. We live in a world where saying people's lives matter is a political statement, something to be debated. @@omnibomni7661 that's a great question, and SP00PY_ANYBUS 72 answered it pretty well. However, it goes beyond George Floyd's death. Black Americans have been racially profiled and/or killed by police for centuries because they're Black. In the last decade reports of Black people being killed has been videotaped constantly, people like Trayvon Martin and Freddie Gray, and even more recently (and during a pandemic) you have US citizens like Ahmaud Arbery who was unrightfully hunted down and shot by white people while jogging in the neighborhood because they they suspected he was responsible for some local robberies (which he wasn't, he was just Black in a white neighborhood). This, coupled with the other unrightful deaths of Black citizens around the world (by cops and white folks who simply suspect, but are shown to be wrong in their prejudices time and time again) and the fact that these injustices have been going on during a pandemic, show the racism within systems of power are as alive today as they were yesterday. And so many of us are just tired of these wrongful killings and broken "justice" system that protesting and banding together seem like the only answer. Hopefully this was insightful, if you want more information there's tons of videos just on KZbin going over systemic racism and George Floyd. If I could suggest any, watch Trevor Noah's video on George Floyd on the Daily Show's channel. God bless you all you reading.

A young man named George Floyd wrote a check someone thought was forged. The police were called, and they detained him. But, while detaining him, one cop kneeled on Floyd's neck for 8 minutes. George begged for his life, and eventually died of suffocation... His last words were "I can't breathe" . 3 other cops watched this occur, but no one stopped to help. Another person filmed this, and uploaded it to social media. The post started riots and protests across America, and even across the globe.

If you read the name of the article that he shows as "evidence" it does state further down that it takes place in the late 1800's, but then if you read the link, it isn't even about the right Tarzan movie because the article is about the 2016 movie "The Legend of Tarzan" starring Alexander Skarsgård. honestly tarzan and jane kind of feels like atlantis: milo's return (seamus please review that) in a few different ways 1. they couldn't get any of the good original voice actors to come back that was part of what made the movie good in the first place 2. the animation quality is a lot worse than it felt like compared to watching it as a kid, and they really did amplify the races of the characters (Jane is deathly pale in this film, while they made Kida's skin tone drastically darker in A:MR) 3. both feel like episodes of a tv show that they already animated and did the voices for a few of them, but then Disney said that it wouldn't be good so they canceled it but they still had already done all the work, so why not release it in a straight to dvd sequel?

So I would like to note that Tarzan and Jane is meant to be a movie to finish up the Tarzan and Jane series. I’ll be honest I usually like a good chunk of the Disney sequels because I grew up with them but Tarzan and Jane is not a favorite because the three stories that Jane, Tantor and Terk reminisce about are just 3 episodes that took place in the series which as a series finale movie fits, but if you weren’t aware of the series (which is good imo because they go on more adventures like in the 50 Tarzan books), it’s basically what Seamus describes it as in this video.

My list for a Disney Tarzan sequel only contains one item: - FOLLOW THE BOOKS! The original Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs is a freaking 24 books masterpiece! There's got to be SOMETHING good in there to get the idea for a sequel, right? And don't even get me started on the comics. They're still coming out, to this day, decades after the author's death. There's just TONS of good material to get inspired by, but no, let's just have a story about young Tarzan trying to find out what animal he is... Sorry about the rant, Tarzan is my all time favourite Disney movie and the idea that the sequels don't even compare to it is just heartbreaking for me.

Backstory on the Tarzan and Jane: the segments were supposed to be episodes for the Tarzan tv show but then the show got canceled so disney decided to make the 3 remaining episodes into segments for an anthology for a direct to dvd movie. Thats why the dialogue is so short and so weirdly paced cause they were meant to be for a show. Disney has done this like a lot where they try to make a tv show for one of their movies and then they get cancelled so they put the episodes that hot made into direct to dvd movies, this happened to Atlantis 2 and Beauty and Beast Belle’s magical world.

When I first clicked on this video I was like "wow, I didn't even know there were Tarzan sequels!" Then I watched the video and realised I have watched them... They just weren't memorable enough for me to remember 😅

I am so happy you decided to include stuff for BLM. So many of the other youtubers I watch (who should be using the platform to help) have just been saying that their videos are a distraction and therefore they wont talk about it. In my mind distractions mean you still acknowledge it not ignore it, thanks
@mr.worldwide47584 жыл бұрын
But maybe they're not qualified to talk about it so they shut up, not talking about it is better than spreading misinformation

I'm pretty sure pure-blood parents would homeschool their kids, or at least pure-blood parents that care about blood status. I'm sure half-blood parents would send their kids to muggle school, but of course some would homeschool as well.

Seamus: This Harry Potter quote stuck with me when you were saying that there were more important things then the Tarzan sequels- "We could all do with a few laughs". After the coup on my country (I'm an ashamed American) I've been cheered up massively by binging your videos. Thank you for being the light in the darkness for me.

Regarding the last thing you mentioned in the video, I have really bad anxiety and have found myself in a depressive hole recently. It got a lot worse when Covid hit and when the protests and death of George Floyd happened, it... wasn’t pretty. Videos like yours help take my mind off things and “calm” things down. So don’t discount what you are doing, we need some pleasure in these difficult times. Having a fun video talking about cringey Disney sequels and putting a message at the end was amazing and needed right now. Thank you 😊 I love your videos and can’t wait to see more!

So like Cinderella 2 when they had 3 stories about after Cinderella became a princess. I thought it was good but Cinderella 3 was awesome. And I loved the second Little Mermaid and thought the 3rd was pretty good too. Never watched even the first Tarzan though. Also I legit thought of Ant-Man 3 being called Ant-Man 2 as soon as you complained it was really the third movie

So basically, I don't think anyone mentioned it, but the Diamondepisode(as these are just episodes from the show put together) actually had a sequel. Basically, the guys come back and are not evil anymore, mine for the diamonds in case they survived the lava(no idea if that is realistic, but eh. I am not really good with these things) and then shenanagans happens. Not going to spoil the plot for any mad lads wanting to actually see it.

Twitter person: So what percentage of the video would I be taking? Seamus: Fair enough, you want a piece of all the action. I'll give you 7, we can shake and make it happen! Twitter person: I wasn't born this morning, 18 would be just fine. Seamus: Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime! Twitter person: 15! Seamus: I'll do 8! Twitter person: 12! Seamus: Maybe 9! Twitter person: 10! I'm sorry I just love The Greatest Showman.

I know this came out almost a year ago, but I think the Tarzan and Jane movie that's a bunch of told stories was actually a cartoon series stitched together. I remember watching the cartoon around 3 or 4am as a kid which was only possible because I would pull all-nighters to watch tv lol So yeah, it's not an actual movie and that's why there's a movie called Tarzan 2 that came later (unless I'm wrong which I might be)
