What marvelous idea ! Thank you for that video Wish I knew about this when I was sewing for my kids back in the 60s & 70s ! I do know a little about sewing I was lucky to get a Merit in my Intermediate Sewing Exams back in the 50s WE are never too old to learn something new though !

I’ve used the burrito method a few times. It’s been a bit tricky to wrap my head around it but it truly is the best way to sew yokes. I’m saving this video as a quick reference. Looking forward to the next video in this series. PS - my favourite burrito sauce is homemade. 😉

Excellent video. I have shied away from the burrito method since coming back to sewing, but you go slow and make it so clear. Could I ask please why you baste one side on first and then the other side with a proper stitch. In the pattern I am following it tells me to place the right sides of the yokes on each side of the back and sew all in one. Thank you

We baste one yoke on first to hold it in place, and then pin the other yoke on and stitch through all the layers. We break this into two steps for the sake of accuracy and ease, but you could definitely sew this step all in one!
