Wow! A professional way to make a Shirt Yoke! While I was watching this, I remember back in High School we had to make a smock in our Home Ec class that was when I was 13 yrs old back in 1966. Its amazing that I had made something so confusing back then and it seemed very easy watching you show how its done. Now that I am so much older and am wanting to make a blouse with a yoke, I feel very confident in achieving it. I even have a blouse pattern with a yoke on it and will pick a nice piece of fabric and sew the yoke the Burrito Method. Thanks so much for showing me Lucy!

Thank you for a wonderfully filmed tutorial. Images were clear and I could follow what you were doing. I'll echo a previous comment, the choice of fabric made watching the construction straight forward. Working on my first shirt. The pattern instructions were vague, and other tutorials I've watched seemed to make things more complicated than necessary. Looking forward to completing my garment. You are an excellent teacher.

Fantastic tutorial - thank you! I tried the method on a t-shirt to replicate my favourite shop-bought t-shirt which has the front and back enclosed (like two of your back pieces). I sewed the front neckline burrito and pulled it out through the sleeve hole, then treated that as one piece and used your method but taking the back neckline in too and pulling it out through the sleeve again. It worked perfectly! Couldn't have done it without your tutorial.

Really useful video , so clear. I recently made the Tessuti Harlow shirt, which seems to do the Burrito yoke in two stages, half at a time. It’s a lovely pattern which gives such a professional finish without too much overlocking, but oh the instructions were so hard for me to follow, especially the visuals. I have fed this back to them. Anyway your video is so wonderfully clear and nice I understand why it’s called the Burritos method!
