it's interesting in that it seems you guys grew up in more 'red state' kinds of communities/churches, for lack of a better descriptor. in the 'blue state' communities/churches where we raised our sons, they felt free to be as 'masculine' or 'feminine' as they wanted, and are quite a bit older than either of you.

have been so helped by these candid conversations. to me being in christ is so much more even than freedom from sin, though of course that is fundamental. but, also, the righteousness of god in christ jesus opens the door to personal intimate relationship with god through holy spirit.

Great topic that is breaking some people and causing them to take different routes from Holiness route, this topic needs to be taught more in Church with wisdom as many are misinformed about the Word of God and where God stands regarding same sex attraction and same sex relationships.Thank you for your inputs and testimonies

I think that’s a programmed response to be faced with alternatives to your narrow perspective of salvation. It’s as shallow as claiming someone is gay because they have non-stereotypical gendered interests. Congrats you’re the bigot now!

Having gender dysphoria and same sex attraction is a nightmare to have it can be challenging to live church life with this and outside as born again Christian. It feels like having one of the worst and controversial sin issues to have & deal with

they are not denying anything, I am same sex attracted, but when we give our Lives to Jesus his word tells us we cant act on those desires its not about doing the world does we do what Our heavenly father wants us to do and that is SURRENDER...

@@peraman2022 Just like a man with a physical illness chooses to be defined by how he overcomes that illness, those who deal with same sex attraction choose to be defined by how they overcome the affliction. Someone with same sex attraction doesn't need to identify as 'gay' anymore than a man with cancer has to identify as 'cancer.'

i have a hard time understanding why we don't regard same sex desire in the same light as anything jesus died for, yet many christians still seem to regard as 'ok'. i mean, take fear for instance. how many christians deal with fear on a continual basis, yet repeatedly in god's word and jesus himself say, fear not! seems that might help take some of the bias (this is different than everything else) off of the folks dealing with same sex desire.
