Some of that comes from independence. When one is not threatened by others, they can speak and act as they please. Cancel a multimillionaire? And... Cancel a paycheck to paycheck person and their life crumbles. We need more independent individuals. Ones able to challenge the narrative due to their ability to stand on their own. Each of us should strive to reach a state where if someone threatened to take it all away, we would wrap it and hand it to them with a bow because they can't take what matters.

Sir Sean Connery was an icon in general. Candid, honest, rugged, charming, down-to-earth and very witty and humorous when he wanted to be. But at the same time, he didn’t suffer fools gladly as he suggested at the end (although bore up in the face of this interview). I don’t think I suffer fools gladly either. Just a first-rate actor and a top-notch guy. Someone whose legacy should be revered in times to come. I miss him and regret that I never got to meet him. RIP Sean, and thanks for leaving behind such an unsurpassable legacy.

I agree with you totally Even in this interview with Barbara back in 1987 REAL MEN like Sean could and would show off their masculinity I still miss him The day Sean died and we learnt he had suffered with his ailments I cried all day I said to myself why? My mother died of exactly the same back in 2019 and I would not wish Dementia on my worst enemy Sean having lost the ability to communicate with his wonderful voice was sad 😭😭♥️♥️❤️❤️🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴

All these comments show how little men understand women I mean if ur girl is too domineering and rude just divorce her or clap back with your own words, there are other options, you don’t have to be a doormat or anything but violence isn’t the answer It’s not okay to slap a woman and no woman of a sound mind finds actual violence attractive

This is a great interview on both sides. Connery completely honest and transparent. Babs was a very solid interviewer in her day, too. She asks probing questions, and challenges him, but also lets him talk.

She wants him. She likes a little slap & tickle. It's quite obvious.
@twentytwo138 Жыл бұрын
@James Latta That's not the point. The point is that she asked good questions, she let him talk, she didn't interrupt, she also laughed on his jokes.. She showed disagreement, but also showed maturity. She really tried to understand his view. In today's time a feminist interviewer would just interrupt and talk shit over him. She wouldn't let him talk, she would put down all of his answers, she would try to make fun of him and do everything to make him look like a bad guy, even when the man replies with logic she would just use cheap shots to put him down.. But this woman has honor and dignity, she's a level-headed feminist. If all feminists were like this, maybe feminism wouldn't be so radical and extreme.
@peterbach1126 Жыл бұрын
She is terrible what are you talking about ? She is the epitome of every bad aspect in journalism, women, political correctness and family values. She did not try to see his point of view, she was coy and pushed him to the brink and tried to hide her disgust and true feelings, while Sean was being direct and honest. The only reason she did not come across as "feminists in today's time" as you put it, is because it would be at the cost of her job, in a day of reason as opposed to our time of sensationalism and uproar.

Lana Turner's abusive boyfriend, gangster Johnny Stompanato, threatened Connery on set with a gun because he wasn’t too happy about Turner and Connery’s on-camera coupling. Connery grabbed his wrist, twisted it until the gun came loose and then decked him. He wasn't happy with being threated and Johnny's treatment of her

The problem didn't end there. Mickey Cohen put a contract out on Connery over the incident. But it all went away because Howard Hughes liked young Connery's dedication to fitness and cleanliness. Hughes threatened to start crushing their Hollywood rackets with his giant wallet, if the dispute wasn't forgotten.
