Dr. No is still my favorite Bond Movie. Sean Connery was the best of the Bonds.
@TralfazConstruction4 жыл бұрын
Dr. No (1962) is my sentimental favorite. My parents took me to see that film when I was six. My contemporaneous memories of the event includes Quarrel, Ursula Andress' conch shells, the 'dragon' and the bits involving rocketry 🚀 . I even remember where we went to dinner before the movie. My parents could have left me with a relative to look after me but with their decision to take me along the die was cast and I was a James Bond movie admirer for life.

I think the problem of playing Bond is balancing his suave, charming side to his dangerous side. So, then the Bond that is portayed is either a lady's man or a cold-blooded killer, one side overpowers the other too often than not, and the other is neglected. Connery probably did it best with James Bond, women were very drawn to him, but they also knew they were in trouble if they ever dared to go against him

I was in Downtown Vegas and saw them do shots for Diamonds Are Forever, also in that movie is the Great Zamboro scene, where inside Circus Circus was a novelty act where a women tranforms into a Gorilla. I saw that act in person, I was up close, and it was impossibble to tell how it was done, and I hate to admit it but as I was 16 at the time I was one of those who ran out in fear, it was that realistic, and well done.

@@VideoAmericanStyle Many of the other talk show hosts of that time and before talked about politics and serious topics on their shows. To pretend that The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson was representative of TV a the time just demonstrates that they have no understanding of the history of the medium or the format. Sean Connery was political. He still advocates from an independent Scotland.
