Homeslice, go to the grocery store and buy a steak. I bought a 1lb cut of top sirloin for 4.99 at Stater Bros. I then took a paper towel and pressed it dry. I heated a pan with 2 tablespoons of butter until very hot. As the butter melts rub both sides of the steak with pepper and a generous amount of kosher salt (flaky salt). Put the steak on the hot pan, it should sizzle. Don't press it down and don't move it. Let is sear on one side for 3 minutes. As its searing, take a spoon and baste the steak with the hot liquid butter (tilt the pan a little if you need to). After 3 minutes, flip to other side and repeat. After 3 minutes, remove the steak and let it rest. Viola. Bomb ass steak for 4.99 and 10 minutes of prep and cook time.
