Was baffled to see him post this. He was the face of Blank! I’m sure i wasn’t the only one that bought them because of Seans skating.

Silver lining...I'm sure there are boat loads of other boot companies that would love to have him.

You know... everyone gets the boot from Rollerblade. Even Barbie who was with Rollerblade before the aggressive division started got the boot and know rides Impala. She was with em since the early 90s 91 I believe.

I'm wondering if his skate didn't sell as well as RB thought it would and decided to cut him/replace with a new rider

He got did dirty, but will have the last laugh when he joins another and better team. Coming from a company that fired franky and broskow, nothing surprises me about Rollerblade and Black's decisions any more
@kevincollins86206 ай бұрын
This is True. Franky famously said Eff Rollerblade almost 2 decades ago. Time flies.

My overall assessment, this sucks. I love the SK Blank skate. Fits my feet perfectly, zero pain issues. I’ve never had a new pair of skates feel perfect on my feet straight out of the box. Love the durability too. But I hate hearing news like this about companies. I’d like to hear all the facts about what happened before jumping to any conclusions. But I cannot doubt the level of contribution Sean gave to Rollerblade. I hope he’s moving on to bigger and better things.

These non-core, non-skater owned companies come and go constantly. Rollerblade's Blank division will be gone soon. It's sad because Cameron deserved his pro skate! Sven should be living in a mansion as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure Tom Hyser is super bummed and tried everything to convince the higher ups to keep it going. The whole team will make the same posts soon. R.I.P. Blank...
@dillpring6 ай бұрын
Of course this is all speculation, an educated guess at best. If they just straight up canned Sean alone - they done fucked up. Even if they were laying off riders, he and Sven should be the last ones out.
@klnrtrzn44496 ай бұрын
It would be cool to not only have SK's perspective oh this, but also give the other side an opportunity to explain things. Have you also asked Tom Hyer for a statement?
@iRollerboot6 ай бұрын
I reached out to Sean but he declined at this time. I completely agree. Best from the source. I didn’t reach out to Tom.

Shocking that he's been let go. We know a lot to make assumptions but it's best to hopefully hear something official.

I just don’t think the ‘rollerblade’ brand appeals to many aggressive skaters.
@dumdidelidum6 ай бұрын
Idk, back in 90s Rollerblade was the brand besides Roces, whenever one of them brought out a new model, that's what everyone was skating. Other Brands weren't even taken very seriously at the time.

Would you keep an employee that didn't live up to his monthly quotas for months on end? Not saying RB is totally in the clear, or that Sean deserved it, but there is a case to be made from the business side of things.
