In 1980, a group of ice hockey players in Minnesota were looking for a way to practice during the summer.[1] Scott and Brennan Olson formed the company Rollerblade, Inc., to sell skates with four polyurethane wheels arranged in a straight line on the bottom of a padded boot.[1] In 1988, Rollerblade introduced the first aggressive inline skate, the Rollerblade Lightning TRS. Aggressive inline skating developed as an organized sport in the early 1990s.[2] In 1994 the National Inline Skate Series, better known as NISS was launched as the first aggressive skating competition series. Promoters Rick Stark and Mark Billik sold Taco Bell on sponsoring the series for $150,000 and a six stop series was born. NISS, went strong for 5 years holding contests in Los Angeles, New York, Rome and Brazil. NISS was the first series to put aggressive inline on television with an ESPN deal for the 1994 series and later moving the competition series to PRIME TICKET-Fox Sports. The Aggressive Skaters Association (ASA) was formed by a number of aggressive inline skaters in 1995 as a forum to develop rules governing competitions and equipment.[2] The sport was included in the first ESPN X-Games in 1995 and included vertical ramp and street event competitions.[3] It reached its height in popularity in the late 90s, with mainstream movies like Disney's Brink! and other films. The brand "Senate", run by Arlo Eisenberg and several other prominent skaters, enjoyed mainstream popularity during the 1990s.
Founded by company owners/skating legends Brian Shima, Jon Julio, and Kato Mateu and supported by all major skate companies, the World Rolling Series (WRS) links together the best skaters, event organizers, retailers and skate parks and aims to "create a tighter knit community, increase overall awareness and set a higher standard for aggressive rollerblading." The WRS circuit started in 2009 with 10 established professional contests in France, Netherlands, England, Spain, Argentina, Australia and the United States. In 2012, WRS included 100+ amateurs and professional events in over 20 countries.

Been skateboarding for 13 years and i got really into blading about a year ago, finally ordered my first real skates (Bobi's domestic punks) and seeing your method going into tricks clicked something in my brain. Im starting to understand more and more each day. I just love the feelings of discovering something new, my brain feels like a sponge trying to suck up the all information at once.😂 Your videos are awesome, great skating and really valuable info! Much love from Finland :)

you mentioned that the blank liners are good I just wanted to second that. I couldn't afford rl2 or intuition and got the blank liners for my roces and I love them. Best stock liner imo

If you are getting sore spots on your malleolus ("ankle bones"), don't push it, take a break until they heal. You don't want to develop bone spurs or bunions.

It looks fun. For me it's meh... but to be fair the park doesn't give me enough room to run lines through it.

I was one of the ones that mentioned the cuff bolt bruised my ankle bone in these skates. I switched back to factions for a bit, but it's been a month with the bruised ankle and still sore to sate. I swapped the cuff bolts out to something more flush, and skated them yesterday and no ankle pain. I am skating the Blanks with the AG60 frames and hardly notice the weight.

I think with the original frames you would be able to get a steeper boot down angle, because the H block is not that deep so you are higher which allows for more bend. (Difficult to describe, sorry). Thx for the video. 👋🏻🔥

1:30 Proof hes quite good at transition. Hes no Chad Hornish on the quaters... but waaaay more comfy on em than the average. I dont make it up on the quarter that easily.

I love my SK's, but when I first got them I set them up with create originals as well (pretty much as broken in as yours look here.) I found the shallow boot-down angle to be WAY too shallow. Like, almost unskateable. Which was a bummer because I really really love CO's. Back torques felt almost more like a fastslide, and royales just felt absolutely horrible. I can see the shallowness of it in your clips here, I'm honestly kinda surprised it didn't bug you more than it did. Anyway I put Oysi mediums on them (which are def taller) and they immediately became maybe my favorite setup ever. Intuition liners work amazingly well in them too. Great vid though, you were ripping per usual

@@flyingonblades I totally can see that. I think you or his channel posted old stuff of him and he was insane then for sure. Naturally talented on the boots. It's obvious he can skate in any boot. Which is also a talent. I've stood up in k2 fatty and literally cannot drop in or skate like myself in them... shoulda tried a shock absorber or wedge in em. Lmao!
