lagu favorit gw dari kecil, berawal dari gak sengaja nemu lagu ini pas puasa 2015 lagi begadang nunggu sahur sambil nontonin KZbin, sejak itu gw kayak seakan akan terpanah sama ni lagu, unik dan selalu menggema ditelinga gw kalo gw lagi diem, dari dulu sampe sekarang gw udah lulus SMA masih earworming ni lagu di telinga gw, udah gitu dikit yang tau ama anaknya John Lennon yang satu ini, padahal karyanya bisa dibilang keren keren, kyk lagu ini yg versi bahasa Prancis yg judulnya L'eclipse itu juga bagus walaupun gw ga ngerti bahasanya tpi lagunya ear catching bgt sampe bikin pengen dengerin terus, dan lagunya yg lain yg judulnya Waiting For You & Dead Meat juga gw suka banget, punya pembawaan tersendiri yg mellow tapi asik, bisa dibawa santai dan galau juga tapi gak bikin ngantuk tapi juga enak dipake buat tidur, the best lah pokoknya mah, impian gw ya nanti pas dinikahan gw pake lagu lagunya Sean Lennon biar dari nikahan gw org org jadi pada tau ada loh lagu keren yg mungkin belum pernah kalian denger sebelumnya dan karna kalian pergi ke nikahan gw kalian jadi denger juga lagu yg gw sukain dari gw kecil, lagu yg nemenin masa masa susah senengnya gw, lagu yg gw dengerin pas gw lagi belajar, ngegym, lari, tidur, bahkan pas gw lagi galau pun gw juga dengerin ni lagu, emang ya disetiap lagu selalu ada momen dan ceritanya tersendiri, dan ya semua lagu lagunya Sean Lennon khususnya Parachute ini punya sesuatunya sendiri sih dihidup gw, bahkan kata kata gak bisa buat ngegambarin betapa gw suka bgt sama ni lagu, thank you.

I agree that it is a very touching song. I believe a lot of the criticisms against him, in some manner, have a lot to do with the public's perception of mainly his father and also his mother. There were many who didn't think fondly of his mother and I suppose they see both her and his father in Sean. It is hard to carve out a perspective that is clear from those biases. Nevertheless I feel that this comment focused on the sincerity or raw quality of the track. I feel like he is an ok singer.. but once he finds himself, he could be something far greater. He is very bothered by the constant comparisons made between him and his late father.

I've loved this song since 2014, which was a terrible year for me on a personal level. "If life is just a dream, which of us is dreaming, and who will wake up screaming?" That was my life. I listened to this song on repeat and cried every day. You'd think I'd hate this song now, but no. Hearing it again is like seeing an old friend that knows your secrets and understands. Thank you for this song, Sean. I'm doing much better now. 💖
