Damp Rabbit it really was, it’s the perfect kind of solo, the song doesn’t stop for it, it’s just a different section of the song. Too many solos are just guitarists jerking off and the rest of the band has to wait for them to finish. This was perfect.
@voteZDLR4 жыл бұрын
That's one of the most important lessons you can learn as a guitar player. Nobody cares how hard instrumental parts are, regardless of the instrument, except for other musicians. And even then it's a novelty that wears off after a song or two. "Oh, this guy can play unbelievably fast. Neat." when it comes to like the guitar virtuosos or whatever, speed metal or otherwise. Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins is one of the most gifted guitar players in the world, he could do stuff in high school after forcing himself to play nothing but scales for hours a day that I still can't do. But he realized nobody cared about that, so he quickly put that skill in his back pocket and then focused on writing good music instead.

Can hear and feel his father's influence and nothing wrong with that as you can hear long may they continue

Great stuff, Lennon actually seems to push Claypool towards a more melodic bass style.

MerkinMuffly I think Les has always had that style despite that it’s just not a very Primus thing to do. Claypool’s role in Primus is only a fraction of his overall great musicianship.

And he is also a better singer :P

I would not call this a melodic bass line. What he is doing is not playing power chords and percussive bass and it's not Primus. It's appropriate bass playing for the music. Les is a master class bassist and does not need to be pushed in any direction.

U hear - John singing but it's not John, it's Sean. :) It's something new and on what a great foundation! Thanks so much, guys!

John was ripped from our hearts so violently. Now this music can help repair the damage.

I agree! How john Lennon was taken out,by some lunatic fan still saddens me,when i think about it.He was still making great music, at that time.

@Capt. Slow Just imagine what it would be like if John and his son were working together in the studio with other artists, it would be wonderful beyond comprehension.

Blame the CIA for wiping out John. 🤔

Me encanta como Sean lleva a Les por caminos diferentes a los acostumbrados en Primus,amo Primus pero esto son nuevos rumbos para el,y es hermoso lo que logran juntos.

Best musical setup of my life. Underrated is a massive cosmic understatement.

Why is this not the most popular band in the world?
