I am glad to see that Sean chose this song to perform. One of my very favorite Beatles (Lennon) songs. Not the most popular Beatles song amongst the younger Beatles fans. But, shear genius to me. John sang (wrote) this when he was so wide-eyed and unjaded. The pure emotion that John put into it way back then, seems to be understood by Sean. I don't care if Sean is good or bad as a performer, the fact that he did this song, speaks volumes. Afterall, he has his choice of so many classics to do.

So, with the Beatles' version, they were more careful to balance their parts even while Paul higher part was ever present. But this is the way it should be, since higher pitches always catch your ear.

Crikey Sean was clearly and audibly nervous. It's a bit of a difficult song to sing but Rufus saved his hide. I suppose he has to as when Rock Royalty calls one must pick up the phone. Being a pro singer Rufus would have realised the problem at rehearsal and would have kept to the mantra then but has the grace not to tell Sean, (I think he should be told), this ones not for you son.
