As a climber, I feel the same. It’s kind of scary because you feel consistent during climbing but the apprehension of falling and hitting the water can really hit you.

As a climber, yes. I am programmed to not fall, when I am asked to fall I have a mini heart attack. One time I almost cried at the top of a wall cause I had to jump from so high up.

For anyone who's curious and wants to see more stuff like this, this is the Piscobloc championships, which are held yearly. The wall has a parallel that you probably saw watching the video where it's the same setup on the right side, and it's used as a climbing wall that professional climbers race each other against.

@Caiman Araújo Welcome to ten months ago where the game is rigged and the points don't matter. Oh, and it is unprofessional and complete commonplace to think so. One competitor is up and trying to concentrate but the announcer is shouting about what someone else did. It'd be different if the runs were 10 minutes long. Take 2 minutes to talk about the current competitor.

I think its unfortunate competitive climbing focuses so heavily on dynamic movement. I think careful, controlled static moves are far more interesting, albeit less flashy

Yes they are climbers. They acknowledge the risk that comes with their sport. Most competitions just have big foam pads. I personally would rather land in water.
