Bellasario is the only reason Sean was cast and remained cast in NCIS. He is not a very good actor, he is adequate. As the lead agent he is punching above his weight.

It may of started out that way but Sean made the character work and because people loved the character and how he worked with the others the all the top people of the show chose to keep him in. And he was my favourite character from the beginning
