I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER acknowledge an obvious guy as a 'she/her', even if that's what 'he' wanted. If he is delusional, I don't have to go along with it! If I'm in a shop and an assistant 'somebody' asks me to go see the person in the blue top (but it's orange) and I SAY, 'but that person's wearing an orange top - where's the person in the blue one?'....and the 'somebody' throws a tantrum and calls for back-up - and for that, I'm thrown out of the store, there would be consequences all right!!!
