I love the fact that Sean trained with the person that knocked him out. They call it an ego check but I call it common sense. Growing up I was always taught that if you wanted to elevate as a man then you had to seek out the ones better than you learn from them and grow. Strickland is so calm in the ring because of his training style It’s different when you’re training with actual people as opposed to hitting pads etc. I think he checked every single leg kick. He’s got really good eyes 👀. He was a late bloomer Anthony Smith was praising Strickland before the Costa fight. They trained together. Smith said he doesn’t see anyone being able to beat Sean. He’s that good. With the Alex P fight maybe his nerves got the better of him. I believe that was his first fight on a main card . I thought he beat Dricus. If he didn’t get cut, I think the whole flight would’ve went just like the first round. Just my opinion.
