I'm expecting "global" cross-platform saves, bug fixes and maybe a little content. If there's a new expedition I will be surprised but happy. When LNF is ready to drop, I hope they will make a NMS expedition with an Earth-like planet as a feature (physically or just in the story). There could be a lot of lore about a lost/fabled Earth-like planet, the original home of the Atlas. Having some LNF-themed NMS expedition rewards redeemable inside LNF would be a power move.

I would very much appreciate a cross-platform save system. I had to switch to PC after my 8 year old Xbox with my 300 hour save stopped functioning and would crash continuously. It would be so nice to get that data back. That's the only reason I haven't played NMS nearly as much in the last year as I used to.

I just enjoy whatever content the update provides, there's always something in them that excites me. I do a bit of speculation but ultimately I just wait and see what HG has been cooking. Whatever it is, its always been tasty.

It's a manual save update. That's the only place in the game the "Earth" actually exists... whenever you use the manual save, and it opens up - the little planet that is projected up and out of the center looks like Earth. So, they probably gave us an autosave update, or something completely mundane. lol

Its possible that it will just be a save system or cloud saving based update, but Sean has been teasing the emoji far more than usual before an update. Something tells me it will at least provide some moderate content. To knowingly hype up just a cloud saving feature, given their past experience with overhype and managing expectations would be blatantly ignorant on their part. They have played all their cards well up until this point since after launch when intentionally generating hype in the community. They know more than anyone that we have all been asking for planetary overhauls for years, they know how crazy far people go with speculation here, and it would be a painfully obvious mistake if they didnt expect planet content speculation from consistently posting literal planet emojis.

Love your videos Kanaju 👌 Keep up the great work! 😁 I think it might be related to more flora/fauna variety on planets. The exploration update that's been long requested by long time players. 😉 HG have been redoing and improving freighters, space stations, base building, etc. We only recently got the star ship customisation that the community has been wanting forever! lol 😋 I'm cautiously optimistic that the explorers of NMS might finally be getting their highly anticipated update. 🤞😋 Whatever it is, I will be more than happy. 👍😁

It's 100% about NMS since the LNF account did not retweet it. My guess 1. Added planetary types. 2. Expedition taking place on a planet of a new type. 3. (Global) cross saves. They are not touching terrain for obvious reasons.

My cross over idea is that you get a cinematic of a NMS character running to a port and in the corner of the screen you get a countdown starting a 16 as the character enters the port the count reaches zero and the screen fads to black as it comes back on the light no fire cinematic starts.

The emoji may refer to world-building over-all.. The common context to world building is to provide the background context for a narrative, so we may be getting more lore/history behind the Atlas and its creators. And with that, more detail on the world of glass, and maybe the ability to start traveling to/from glass-like worlds via a new mechanism.

I'd be happy with a proc-gen/world of glass update, but I'm hopeful for LNF. It just seems odd that Sean would use earth for anything relating to NMS, while they used the word so frequently to describe LNF.

It might be cross-platform saving, since leaks showed they're working on an overhaul to how saves work. Maybe the emoji means "globe" as in "global saving" or something. Apart from that, the other things leaks showed was that they're working on buildable solar ships, shooting NPCs in asteroid fields will enter a dialogue where you can either apologize (or pay for damages if your standing is low) or keep shooting, and the sentinel walking using the same boss HUD that the pirate freighters use. Personally, I hope they're inserting brand new ship parts for existing starships, maybe the ship wrecks we've been given as base parts are means to be places we can come across on planets and extract new parts from, maybe the Iron Vulture reward was HG's way of testing to see how brand new ship parts would work on existing ship parts.

Thanks for the video. It feels like Sean is shooting himself in the foot by posting something as big like Earth emoji. It makes me think of 1. Complete NMS planet generation overhaul, rivers, higher mountains, deeper oceans, more weather effects, much bigger planets etc. Almost a proper NMS 2. 2. Another trailer for and final release date for Light No Fire, which seems more likely than the first option. But it's also very likely it'll be a tiny update that doesn't do much. So it's very likely to disappoint.

I hope they overhaul the leaving and entering of planets where a 0.5 second hickup occurs. Other than that, a graphics update is welcome in terms of rendering planet draw distances.

My personal wish for NMS would be new tools to explore the surface of planets, like installing the Analysis Visor on exovehicles. But I would bet more on a Light No Fire trailer, because the game will be on one planet only. Only time will tell. Place your bets, gentlemen.

Based in what data miners have found in the experiment branch. New cooking recipes Sentinel boss hud (ground combat update) Cross platform cloud save. Personal speculation; multi player network overhaul. Light No Fire is supposed to be more multi player focused, they could use NMS to test network architecture for LNF.

I hope it's for NMS. LNF emojis... save it for AFTER the game comes out. There are plenty of game events like Game Awards, Summer Game Fest, TGS, etc, for revealing anything LNF prior to its release.

Very cryptic! This could be many things in my opinion: -Light No Fire. They made the empathy on "a world as big as the Earth", and here well it is the Earth emoji. Also as of a few hours ago he posted three Earth emojis, with each continents. -No Man's Sky summer update/planet upgrade. Why not? Players has been asking for it for some time now, altough this is second on the list. -No Man's Sky cross saves. It has been datamined in the latest experimental update, and would match the "global" side of things, as in all the platforms -Lore update. Something about the world of glass and such?

Eva, extra vehicular activities outside of planets atmosphere would be nice. As well as player built spacebases outsice of planetary atmospheres. Also would be nice if we get an all around upgrade of saveable bases and basepart limits.

Outlaws was one of my favourites. Sadly they could have done more like when you have a Pirate Freighter you can't Jump in to "Normal" Systems or else Sentinel Ships will swarm you and stuff... There is so much more that could be done with easy changes but hey i am only a small 1 person "dev" did some games. Speculation reaches a new high with that world sign Mr. NMS posted. Ya know that there is a small world in your Save Station that you can build? Take a closer look ; ) Of course Kanaju did know that nice. Always good stuff here! Thumbs up!

Whatever the emoji means, it's probably good for the game. He wouldn't make a post like that FOR SMALL ENGINE IMPROVEMENTS. So, either better planets a new expedition a global update of the game's systems light no fire update. ANY OF THESE ARE ENOUGH TO BE HYPED. Mods already have shown how insane planet terrain generation can be insane in NMS with better variables, so MAYBE even if it's a small improvement, it'd be great.

my Random LNF theory : the game is set on earth either before or after the Atlas was build and abandonned, leading to NMS and the simulation, etc i lack coherent lore nd things so thats a small theory

I think it's to do with the new save architecture, along with some other content. I don't think it's a LNF thing. There's absolutely nothing on the LNF channels for this.
