SEAN "The Muscle Shark" SHERK HIGHLIGHT

Sean Keith Sherk (born August 5, 1973) is a retired American mixed martial artist and former UFC Lightweight Champion. Sherk competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and was one of the first combatants to have been a championship competitor in multiple weight divisions (having also competed for the UFC Welterweight Championship). He was the second UFC Lightweight Champion in the organization's history after Jens Pulver vacated his title 5 years earlier. Sherk also spent time competing in the Japan-based organizations, PRIDE Fighting Championships and Pancrase; going undefeated in both promotions. He holds one of the longest undefeated streaks in mixed martial arts history, with only four career losses, all to fellow-UFC Champions. Sherk announced his official retirement from mixed martial arts competition in September 2013 having last fought three years prior.
Recognized for his role in the resurgence of the UFC Lightweight division, Sherk became the first UFC Lightweight Champion since the division was re-introduced by the UFC in 2006.[5] He successfully defended the UFC Lightweight Championship against Hermes Franca at UFC 73, after winning the title in a Fight of the Night award winning performance against Kenny Florian at UFC 64. Sherk is noted to have taken part in some of the most important fights in the UFC's lightweight division, where he is considered to be one of the greatest lightweight competitors of his era

I never ever cared for any of the fighters I saw would pop up in random sports bars I attended for food, and even now none of them really stand out as being worthwhile, but I saw Sean fight once in the corner of my eye and he almost instantly became my favorite. His style spoke to me and I've been a fan since.

Gosh i still remember the dream i had with sean sherk in it. We were fighting out on a dock and i have no idea how idea how i did it but i'd get him off of me and he'd end up falling in the water and just rip through the water below surface level like a shark jump up on the other side of the dock and just shoot in with the take downs and start throwing punches. During Sherk's time he had a great skilled set. 1 cardio 2 incredibly powerful 3 great wrestling 4 good boxing. Which sent him straight to being the no. 1 contender at 170 beating almost everybody he fought there. Until of course running into GSP who utilizes Sherk's game against him. Sean won 155 title until Penn in his prime put him down. The guy we have today who has a similar skill set is Covington. Goes to prove those 4 strengths will send you up the ladder. Although I believe Colby is a more technical wrestler but not as powerful.

It is shit from it's very shitty start, to it's very shitty ending, and it's shitty everywhere in-between. It's an ocean of shit.
