What an awesome route in with such great views. Only surpassed by the mountain top views and wow what a location. Fantastic Munro and one to remember as being special.

Hi Paul brilliant video really enjoyed a fantastic hill not sure what access is like theses days I parked at lodge for the price of a bottle of whisky back in 80s lol which was handed to game keeper for allowing us to drive to lodge brilliant footage and views to die for over to Assynt interesting fact Carn Ban 842m to the east of this magnificent Munro is the most remote Corbett so just shows you what a remote area this is ji didn’t get 360 vies like you when I did it so thanks for sharing good music and info in video cheers mate

Thanks very much Andrew!! I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and to be honest did not expect such a brilliant day! My initial intention was to go from inverleal then tha changed to this route although we had initially planned to stay at Magoos bothy and scramble the ridge! Plan C was the final route and it didn’t disappoint. Parking at the schoolhouse was good and the cycle straightforward so I don’t think I would have went any further? There was not a soul around however so not entirely sure! If I managed to get around all the Munros I will need to come back and visit the Corbett. Didn’t realise it was the remotest one 🥴. All in all another fantastic day! Thanks again and thanks for the support! Paul

Another cracking wee video Paul, great watch. Cycled in as you did, found it a bit rough but probably because I had a heavy pack with my camp gear. Did Carn Ban and ended up staying in Magoo’s bothy rather than tent. A fine bothy and the only one I’ve stayed in. Did Seana Bhràigh by the creag an duine ridge the following day, straight forward enough apart a wee scamble over the pimple at the top. Need to go back and see the views as I was clagged in all day :-(
@PAADVENTURES1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!!! Originally we had intended on doing a very similar trip to you! A stay at the bothy and the Scramble. We changed our plans as the group got bigger so I would like to go back and copy your trip! We obviously got the views and they were amazing! What a cracking part of the world!!! Thanks again! Paul

The schoolhouse Bothy wasn’t there to use when I walked past in 1999. I had left my car at Oykel Bridge and walked into the Bothy at Coire Mor where I stayed 2 nights. I climbed Seana Braigh the next day, along with the adjacent Corbett, Carn Ban. It was late May and there were lots of people up fishing. I had the Bothy to myself and the weather was really good. It is on of the great wildernesses without doubt. Thanks for sharing.
@PAADVENTURES1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Graham. There has obviously been a big improvement in the bothy from the photos that were on the wall. It’s cracking now. Our original plan was to travel and stay in Magoos bothy with a ascent via the ridge however our party increased and we decided in this route. What a place! Your right it feels really remote and wild country!! A fantastic place. Cheers again. Paul

Really enjoyed the watch, liked the wee bit on the schoolhouse bothy and great to see you on the bike ride in too! A stunning mountain as you say - to be fair, all of them are on the list 😂 but this has pushed its way up the try and get on a good weather day list! It looked a good day with good company. Safe walking Paul - Duncan

Excellent vid Paul.Good bit of research for me.😃👍Had this planned for a wee while now..Good to get a wee look at the road on the way in and the cycle.I went up to do it last year and pulled into Ardgay for the night.When i got up on the morning it had been pissing all night and the mist was down to road level.Didn't fancy getting soaked with no views so just headed home.😢
@PAADVENTURES1 Жыл бұрын
Andy this is a great route. I haven't done the other way so can't compare. The road in from Oykel Bridge is fine. Just a matter of taking your time. I found it ok. Plenty of parking at the schoolhouse and the track from there to Corriemulzie is very good. After that its more rougher but still a relatively easy cycle. From there its a very short up and down. all in all a great day! weather dependant!!! thanks mate! Paul.

Fantastic Paul, thoroughly enjoyed that. I remember doing that back when you were able to drive much further up the track, maybe 2005? Anyway, I managed to badly damage one of the front wheels on my Ford Mondeo, and had to buy a new wheel and tyre. Not ideal. Still, it's a fantastic hill and definitely one I would be keen to repeat. All the best, Davie.
