YES! Absolutely. Jason as a "prepper" with a massive grudge is an awesome idea. It humanized him, which I actually like, and to me it was a little bit like a rated R Home Alone film. My oh my, so THIS is how Kevin McAllister ended up.....I knew it.

My only gripe with the film is that it doesn't properly convey how woodchippers work. If the wood chipper is still rotating, he should have either been fully pulled into it, or decapitated. It makes zero sense that the woodchipper was still operational, but the pressure around Jason's neck ceased to increase. That's simply not possible in real life. Yea, yeah, "Realism in a Friday the 13th movie?". The thing is that the reboot was designed to humanize the character. It was meant to be a little more grounded than say "protagonist with telekinesis", or "reanimated corpses". And so, his death sequence just feels lazy. If they wanted him to survive, than they could have easily subdued him in a more believable manner. Otherwise? I think it did a fantastic job at condensing the first three original films into one, modernized experience.

It's one of the better made Friday films, no doubt. I'm an 80's-90's kid so this take doesn't like up to a lot of the Paramount entries. Objectively speaking, Part 6 is a legit quality, fun movie. Very ahead of its time.

Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning-A bad comedy with a Friday the 13th skin around it 28. A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010-A boring, lifeless horror remake 27. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday-A movie that has no business calling itself a Friday the 13th movie 26. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master-This is where the Nightmare franchise started to go downhill 25. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan-The biggest clickbait of all time 24. Halloween Ends-While I liked a couple of the ideas, the execution and storytelling didn’t work for me at all 23. Rob Zombie’s Halloween-A film that loses the intrigue of Michael Myers for me 22. A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge-An endearing misfire 17. Friday the 13th-An okay start to this franchise 16. Halloween Kills-While there things here I really like, the movie can’t pull them together to make a satisfying film 15. Jason X-One of my favorite Taco Bell movies of all time 14. Friday the 13th Part II-A pretty decent entry to the Friday the 13th franchise 13. Halloween III: Season of the Witch-A movie that works for what’s it’s going for 12. Wes Craven’s New Nightmare-While it’s not amazing for me, it’s a movie that has a lot to offer 11. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers-A very enjoyable, very effective Halloween film 10. Halloween H20: 20 Years Later-It’s like Scream, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good time 9. Halloween II-For whatever reason, I really liked this movie on my most recent rewatch 8. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter-A very good Friday the 13th movie 7. Halloween 2018-A very good Halloween revival 6. Freddy vs. Jason-The best thing I can say about this movie is that it doesn’t feel like a big budget fan film 5. Friday the 13th 2009-One of my absolute favorite horror remakes 4. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors-A really great sequel to the original 3. A Nightmare on Elm Street-One of the absolute Best Horror Movies of All Time 2. @@MichaelTomsyckCool ranking bro but I hate A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 3: Dream Warriors and I think it's overrated. My favorites Freddy's films are A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 the original, the second one Freddy's Revenge and Freddy vs Jason. This franchise is one of my least favorite.. Same goes for Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The only good Texas Chainsaw Massacre are TCM 1974, TCM 2003 and TCM 2022. Yes I like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022. It's the best version Leatherface and the most badass. The old Leatherface is dumb and not scary. For Halloween franchise, The best ones are Halloween 1978, Halloween 2 1981, Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills. For Friday the 13th, I would say the best ones are Friday the 13th Part 1 The Original, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 6, Part 8, 2009 The remake and Freddy vs Jason.

A Nightmare On Elm Street(remake): I didn’t liked the effects, most of the actors and how uninspiring it was, but I really hated Pedo-Freddy! 30. Halloween Ends. Really?! This is how they decided to end it? I really didn’t liked it and thought it was too cheesy. Also, the inconsistency of how strong Michael was in this trilogy was mind boggling! I’m mixed on Corey but the actor was good. 29. Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers. I really didn’t like the direction they took here and just like Cody, I really hate Tina. 28. Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan. To me this movie is bad and uninspiring. Nothing to like about it. 27. Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers. I really didn’t liked any of the versions. Just boring to me. Now for the movies I just don’t like for a variety of reasons. 26. Halloween Kills. It started of great but was really unfocused and corny. Michael was great but the victims were really stupid. 25. Friday The 13th Part 7: New Blood. Never cared for the movie, but it’s watchable for me. 24. A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The movie sucked but I liked all of the kills(specially the motorcycle one). I did hate Super Freddy… now for the movies that are kinda middle of the road for me: 23. Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday. This movie is not that bad, it’s just how fatigued I was with Jason and the franchise by the time I seen it. It’s ok, just not for me. 22. Halloween(2018). I never liked it as much as other people do. It looks great and Michael is awesome but the comic relief characters(and they are many in this one) really ruined the atmosphere for me. 21. Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. When I first seen it I loved it but this movie suffers from a low rewatch value(at least for me) and the most boring kills. 20. Halloween 2(Rob Zombie, 2009). I loved the beginning up until the end of the dream sequence. Brad Dourif was amazing, but some of the choices Rob made(mask less Michael and the horses) didn’t sit well with me. 19. Friday The 13th(original). I never really liked this original movie. It is a decent “Who Done It”. I respect it more than I like it. 18. Friday The 13th Part 3. This is the definition of middle of the road slasher for me. This is where we got the classic Jason. 17. Friday The 13th Part 5: A New Beginning. I like this movie more than most people. The lack of Jason is refreshing to me. Now for the movies I like: 16. Jason X. I like this movie for how bad it is! Such a fun goofy experience with some awesome kills. 15. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. I really like everything about this movie, but it’s dragged down by the awful mask and really bad sequels. 14. Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason lives. A very good slasher movie. But I think the fact that the whole film undermines the ending of the fourth film is annoying. 13. Friday The 13th Part 2. This movie is ok, but a lot of parts of it are awesome(wheelchair kill) Jason and Ginny were great. The rest of the movie is pretty blend for me. From or on I really like all the movies. 12. Rob Zombie’s Halloween(2007). I really love the third act and I even like how crazy and white trashy the first two acts are. I actually like the breakfast scene… I’ll take it over a generic remake any day of the week. I even like Ronnie and think that Sheri Moon Zombie is actually good in this movie. 11. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4. I really like most of the kills and I like the style of the film, but the comedy is a bit much for me. Alice is great but I would have preferred the Dream Warriors in bigger roles. Also, this is the best version of the goofy Freddy. 10. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. I really like this movie! Freddy is the darkest and scariest here and Jesse is a great Final Guy. The only reason why I really like it and don’t love it is the lack of rules to how, where and when Freddy can kill. 9. Halloween(original) I think it’s a great film but I don’t love it, only really really like it. To me it’s a very great Classic slasher, just not my favourite. Now for the movies I love! 8. A Nightmare On Elm Street(original). I love this movie and reason it is on the lower end of my loved ones here is only because of its start off slowly which make it little bit less fun to rewatch. Still love it! I love Freddy and Nancy is one of the greatest Final Girls! 7. Friday The 13th Part 4: I think it might be my favourite fun vibe slasher. It’s simple yet really nice! Jason is great and Tommy Jarvis is also a great character. 6. Friday The 13th Remake. Just like Cody Leach, this is my favourite Friday film. The opening is godly and Jason is great. I like all of the victims(including Trent). 5. Halloween H20. I know it’s way higher than most people will put it on their lists, but I really love the movie, specially the showdown between Lori and Michael! 4. Freddy Vs Jason. just like Cody Leach and Sean, I grew up watching trailers and counting the days for the event! I love this movie! The kills are great and the final showdown deliver and than some. I think I watched it the most out of every movie on this list. The Two things that prevents it from being at the first place, the whole Jason afraid of water and the fact that Freddy only get one kill(!!!!) 3. Halloween 2. This is my favourite straight forward slashers! Love this movie and how well it compliments the original(I usually watch the in a double feature). The kills are great and I actually love the whole brother-sister angle. The hospital atmosphere is awesome. 2. Halloween 3: Season Of The Witch. I always loved this film! Conal Cochran is such a great villain and Dr. Dan Challis is very fun to watch. The kills are great and the villain’s evil plan is really really evil! The effects are great and the Halloween feel is stronger than ever! 1. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. It’s my third favourite horror film of all time and my top 20 favourite films overall. Freddy is so great in this one! The Dream Warriors and Nancy are the best protagonists group in any horror movie I’ve ever seen! All the kills are very memorable and I’m pretty sure Will is the inspiration for Harry Potter.

the Friday The 13th reboot is a perfect modern slasher. It’s one of the best films in the franchise. It’s bad characters, gore and Jason being scary as hell. 100% the best reboot. Personally though I’d say both Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies are better than the A Nightmare On Elm Street reboot. Only good part was JEH.

Love your commentary about Halloween Ends. I feel the same. I know what they were trying to do but it was an awful send off and not rigth to end the trilogy that way. Now, if it was a Halloween anthology movie AFTER the trilogy or even the second part of this trilogy, then maybe. Also, I have no idea why I rank Curse of Michael Myers over Ends. I think it's nostalgia (first Halloween movie I saw in theater) because it's just absurd. But I can at least watch it because of Loomis but Ends....I can't rewatch it yet.
