You're the only youtuber that can get away with calling "judo chop" the karate chop. ❤

Great lesson, as a new player I learned a lot of valuable stuff here. I'm playing on acoustic though so it sounds a bit different but I'm sure that's ok. Looking forward to more of these types of lessons.

There's a Johnny Cash C&W song called The Tennessee Flat Top Box that has an intro that resembles this exercise.

Thanks for all the tutorials! I’ve really gotten comfortable with keys and the number system. Tonight MIND BLOWN. Bought a looper, strummed some 1/3/6/5/4/1/4/5. I noticed in yellow Ledbetter, he solo’d out of the six. Looked at my printed out circle of fifths diagram. Epiphany, you can solo position 1 minor pentatonic scale on the six in any chord progression. I believe this is what is called a relative minor? Either way mind blown. Looper, chord progression, minor pentatonic scale on the 6th = beginners guide to starting to learn to solo

So could the judo chop palm mute technique also be applied to something like Immigrant Song, where the strings being picked are the sixth and the fourth (as opposed to the sixth and fifth in the power chord formation)? I mean, do you palm the fifth string so only the sixth and fourth can be heard?

Speaking of “sloppy” playing, I’ve been piece mailing all yours and Stich’s videos; I really enjoy them! But, I’ve been reckless, too; not knowing what videos to watch in what order. So, is it possible for you to make a video discussing implementing modes, with interesting chords, and a sprinkle of penatonics? Or is that a tall order? Or more likely a master class? P.s. I love the chord videos that you provide for your channel, I watch them over and over
