It took just 3 videos of yours to blow my mind to another universe. I always knew that music theory was great, but i have never seen anyone presenting it in such easy to understand and easy to practice fashion. Thank you.

Finally " THE LESSON ". You can spend hour's listening to guitarists n teachers go on about chords. Ive watched all your 100 chords in 8 min. GREAT. But electric guitar trainee gets lost in the FREQUENCY (Kenneth). Then here it is. Play electric guitar voicings! Grab a major, minor, a power chord up n down the neck knowing the notes of E,A,and D strings. Made it so understandable! This best lesson ive seen. 5 times Ive watched play up and down fret board in any key in 15 min. ADD FAA DFF. Even if you know them shapes. What is it your playing? Thanks so much for this lesson and all of your others!

Well, I got a lot more out of this video than I was expecting. You always deliver, but this one really opened up some doors on how and why music theory IS important. Feel a lot better about committing the time to learning it. So much information out there that it's hard to tell WHAT NEEDS to be learned. Let alone how to do it.

Sean, I'm 35 years old. I've been playing guitar off and on majority of my life. I would say I'm a very decent rhythm guitar player. I struggle with lead and a lot of color chords due to my shorter fingers unfortunately. But, anyway.. I didn't really know a whole lot about music theory or any of that stuff. Just a few years ago when I had time.. I started looking up a few videos on here to better myself on guitar. I've watched countless videos from Justin @ justinguitars which out of the many I had seen he was by far the best one. Man, I have to tell you.. I was looking something up to learn techniques on playing diminished chords. I struggle with that. I came across one of your videos. I can't tell you enough how helpful and enjoyable your videos are. I'm serious man. I'm not sure what you do for a living or if you market any of this stuff.. But, I've learned a lot from you in the last few days. I've discovered that to better myself I basically had to get back to some basics.
@anthonybergeron47138 жыл бұрын
Your explanations of things in your videos simplified it so much for me. Most videos have me going cross eyed after the 3'rd min into them. Idk if you'll actually read this comment so I in some way I feel like one these " cliche" you tube morons to be typing all of this. But, I just wanted to thank you very much. I never comment much on stuff and surely not this much talk. But, you've helped me tremendously. Thank you man and have yourself a great week!! T.J. Bergeron Slidell, Louisiana..

Exactly what Anthony Bergeron said! I don't really make comments but, as someone who has been playing on and off for years and finally taking the chance to play guitar more seriously (since I'm an adult now and have a bit of money =D ). I just wanna say your videos really helped a lot, just what I needed for guys like me. I sincerely thank you! =)

Sean Daniel hi Sean love the videos...could I get your opinion on a guitar upgrade...? I've been learning for a while now on a Yamaha Pacifica 112v and would like to upgrade to a slightly better guitar ( must say I love the Pacifica though) I am torn between a g and l tribute fallout ibanez talman tm302 or maybe a Yamaha revstar rs420 only not sure if these would be a significant upgrade..some advice would be great by the way I can't get to try either of these before I buy
@seandaniel238 жыл бұрын
Congrats on deciding to upgrade! Full disclosure I haven't played the talman or revstar, but I have played a G&L tribute and I'm a big fan. Plus in my personal experience the quality control has been better from that company than the other 2 imo, so you probably have a better chance with the G&L if you can't play it first. Good luck!

I play a lot of rhythm guitar these days and use power chords and moveable barre chords instead of open chords since the lead guitarist plays open chords and this thickens the sound and also makes chord changes way easier especially for faster songs.

What guitar are you using in this video? It's beautiful!
@seandaniel239 жыл бұрын
+Psycho Mantis Thanks! It's actually an american standard telecaster that I had chalk-painted. It's a pretty cool technique that gets used on furniture a lot, but I thought it'd be perfect for what used to be a kind of blah-looking jade metallic tele. It's pretty easy because you don't have to sand off the existing finish and then you just seal it with wax. Just google 'chalk paint' if you're interested, it's an easy project that can turn out great.
