Sounds really good amplified. Stunning looks too! It complements your voice and your purple shirt.

I'm pleased to see nylon string guitars getting some respect. I haven't been playing long but have, in the past, played a steel string. Comparing nylon to steel, at least for me, is no real contest; nylon all the way. Got my newest guitar about a month ago, a crossover because I wanted to stick with nylon but have a narrower neck. Got a Cordoba Fusion 5 and love it. The sound of your new, beautiful guitar seems more like steel strings than nylon. But to each his own. If you're happy, that's all that matters and it really is a handsome instrument. 😊

Maybe you’ll post an affiliate link for this one. Got a competitor version 6 months ago and love it! Curious to enjoy how other brands approach this and every room of the house needs at least one! Love hearing a snip of an original song at the end.. seems a good protocol whenever showing off new gear to include a song with insightful lyrics.

Did you try the Yamaha SLG200N ? Unplugged very quiet but nice sounding, super Sound with amp or headphones (inbuild headphone amp). Wonderful gig guitar with Nylon strings. Small Package for travelling. Easy practising in Trains or hotel rooms.

All you wrote is true. But the Yamaha doesn't looks so beautiful but also exotic, in my opinion.

So it's like a classical guitar string-wise?
@rebeccaabraham86524 ай бұрын
I did it on the cheap with EB ball-end classical strings on my dreadnought and my Crafter stage acoustic - they both sound great - and I use them for blues and jazz! However - I am thinking of another guitar and this is giving me ideas.

The real fun comes when you first have to change strings on a slotted headstock/nylon string guitar. You'll be tuning up that baby for weeks.

holy crap, I was surprised! I expected the guitar to be like every nylon string guitar you see at someone's garage sale. that crapy parlor body, nonsolid top, no truss rod so it's a little out of tune always. it always has a broken string, that nobody can figure out how to change... even now I've been playing guitar for 30 years and still don't remember how to change nylon strings! (video idea) I fell off my chair cuz that guitar is beautiful, that is a new breed of nylon. what a gorgeous guitar. I would learn how to change a nylon string for that gorgeous instrument. That sounds great also, you are a lucky man

That's cool! Great song too Sean! Most nylon strings I've had were 12 fret short scale. That one is 14 fret at the body and looks like a 25.5-ish scale? You could even put steel strings on it if you didn't care for, or wanted to change the sound from nylon. Great demo Sean! It's been awhile.. 8) --gary

Careful putting steel strings on a guitar with a bridge like that...too much string tension could rip that bridge off...or so I have heard.

Here's what I think would be badass... Get a TONEWOOD Amp and plug the new Ortega into a TONEWOOD AMP that's attached to a separate acoustic guitar preferably your other classical Ortega. Then Mic the classical acoustic Ortega that has a TONEWOOD amp attached to the back of it. This way you'll be able to hear what the new stage Ortega would sound like if it did have an acoustic body.

Nylon guitars are the real guitars. They preceeded all others. Can you play guitar??? The answer lies in ones ability to be able to make music with the guitar alone.

Hey, I don’t want to be so negative, but that unplugged sound is really the worst I’ve ever heard from this kind of guitar. Even the $199 Hadean EA-100 is leagues better. And the Harley Benton Nashville Nylon. And Ibanez FRH10. Maybe new strings, but I doubt that will help THAT much. Plus, USB charging? Why? If this were me, this guitar would be going back.
