The card box is an excellent motivation for the switch-very natural. I too use the overhand jog shuffle to set up my forces. I cannot stress enough the importance of that extra beat before proceeding with the force. I've seen so many magicians cut the cards and immediately go into a riffle force, and obviously cut the cards right back the way they were. Very amateur, very easy to spot, and very easy to FIX!

AGREED!!!!!Never, ever cut, riffle force, re-cut.......So ugly looking..It's so natural to jog shuffle and then go into the riffle. Disguises the fact you want them to say stop at a specific card. Shuffling always helps everything look more natural

Hey Sean, I have a suggestion: a video of how to display 2 cards as 1 (not doublelift), especially if you have to transfer the double onto the table. I'm trying to figure out some techniques used in the Open Travelers by Larry Jennings. I saw Real Magic Review throw a double without them separating in their video and I have no idea how they did that.

For the second force the performrr could have the force card under the box squared, when spec says stop performer could stop with one card held extended from cards in hand then say we will place selected card under card box and in motion tap box with a side ways motion secretly drawing extended card back onto packet while twirling card case so card under box appears slightly out of lone with edge of box!! At performance speed an optical illusion should be created of pushing ( selected card) under box!! This method would eliminate the chance of appearing to drop straight down the card as you said we do not want to do. What do you think of this idea? Gary in dreamland; have a nice dream!!!😊♥️✨️🎲🎲⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Would you recommend Repertoire Sean? I've heard that a majority of it is stuff to do with Mnemonica, but I don't use that stack.

if the video is intended for beginners as well, alot of the moves you are talking about seem to be hidden from the person viewing or not at the best of angles. You are essentially giving the person you are teaching, at times almost the same angle as a spectator. So its hard to see what you are doing. Switching the camera angle would be better also, as learners are trying to learn the trick/move while watching it from the opposite angle. A camera view from behind (your angle of view) would make for better learning i think. I love the forces chosen, they are very good.

Noted! I appreciate the input 🙂

@@SeanDevine I'm glad. It was in no way a criticism of the video in a negative way. But as you say input into how a viewer would see it. I think sometimes for the person making the video, they already full know and understand what they talking about, so it can be harder to try and make a video from the viewers perspective. Im still learning, and some of the angles where a little difficult to fully see what was going on. Still worth the watch i should add and enjoyable. Thank you for not taking the feedback in a negative way

@ absolutely! My opinion is that the only way to improve is to listen to the viewers. Because I definitely don’t have it all figured out lol.
