I have to thank you Sean. This is the first toturial where i start to get motivated to do the cull again. I had a lot of problems to understand this technique and to do it. But you explained it in a way that also i understand 😂

Ever since I saw Kostya Kimlat fool Penn & Teller by culling 26 cards in a matter of seconds, as part of his Triumph routine, my mind has been open to the huge range of possibilities this sleight opens up. The secret to Kimlat's trick was almost literally, "yeah so I just reareanged the entire deck right under your nose". I've used the cull as a control for decades, but it's so much more than that! Thanks for the vid.

Imo, the cull is the best technique ! It's so versatile, so practical, and kinda easy to learn, but to master it, it take so much more time ! Great vid Sean, thank you !

Bingo 4:52! As I once heard it in the words of one who was teaching it… “it’s casual opening and closing of the deck…my fingers don’t so any pulling”

The accordion move looks like it would be great cover for the cull which is nearly invisible already. You showed some terrific applications, too.

Agreed, also you hardly find tutorials on the cull starting with the deck in the right hand.

Over the past few months this has become one of my favorite one of most practiced moves. Just practicing it constantly and when I want, do a peak, shuffle to the top and go from there. I'll practice more with the accordion move. Like you said.. something ready to do while watching TV! It's funny.. while"watching" TV I'm working cards and my family is usually on their phones. Good stuff, thanks for teaching👍🤓👍

I' truly appreciate Sean Devine and his card mechanic tutorials. This tutorial on the spread cull is taught very well. However, one might argue that the methods taught are a bit antiquated. If you're looking for another expert's opinion on spread cull, I recommend Roadrunner Cull by Kostya Kimlat. It's the best cull tutorial video in the universe, and is available on Penguin as a direct download. Cost for the video is about 40 bucks. It covers some very refined techniques of culling cards in singles, groups or the entire deck, and covers correct spread handling as well. You'll never struggle with the cull again by watching Kimlat's download. I'm just putting my two cents here because I've just seen a lot of spread cull tutorials on KZbin and none of them cover these techniques precisely.
