After Group Loops for smoothing edge lines you can use "Polish the crisp edges"
@SeanForsythTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Yep, very true, especially if you use the Open circle version of it! Thanks for adding this as a tip!
@eterneon69353 жыл бұрын
adding onto this, with just the object you want to smooth visible, go to masking -> mask by feature with border selected and invert the mask and blur. follow this up with polish by features or crisp edges! happy sculpting

Yep, it's a little bit longer to do, but also works great, thanks for adding it.

My only question is how do I get the hood to not fall through my model when I run the sim
@SeanForsythTutorials4 ай бұрын
@@tjm6794 So just make sure that you have the objects you'd like to collide with visible and the object you want to be cloth selected. Hit CollisionVolume (or Recalc if you've done it before), and that should be it. If it's only slightly intersecting, use the Inflate slider beside the Resolution near the Collision volume button and increase it a little bit. That's the one that controls how near it is to the underlying mesh. Hope it helps!

if you want a solid super smooth polygroup edge theres a "smoothgroups" brush (i think thats what its called) and it makes the 3edsges of a PG a straight line basically
@SeanForsythTutorials Жыл бұрын
Yep, you can use the Smooth Groups brush to smooth groups, but unfortunately, like the normal smooth brush, it won't smooth edges with less then 3 connected points, so you'll still have to turn Min Connected down to 1 or 2 in the Brush menu, under the Smooth Brush Modifiers rollup. Thanks for posting!

how do you get those orange vertex dots, I am new to zbrush. cool video by the way.
@SeanForsythTutorials Жыл бұрын
They're there because of Dynamic subdivision being turned on. Dynamic subdiv "cheats" to show you what the model will look like when subdivided, without actually subdividing it. They're basically showing you where the real underlying vertices are while viewing dynamic subdivs.
@maxgordon3194 Жыл бұрын
@@SeanForsythTutorials thanks so much, I see now what dynamic subdivision can be used for/ I saw that option at multiple occasions but never bothered checking I will definitely give it a try now.
