If you don't think Ramsey would be able to predict if he went in a zigzag motion, then you didn't pay attention at how smart he was. If Rickon changed direction with no pattern, maybe, but he was terrified. When you're in danger, and your instinct is to run, you'll just run as fast as you can.

actually they have pretty much confirmed there WILL be a spin off of GOT. However, they are working on 4-5 scripts from different time points of GOT and GRRM is involved in 3 of them. They still havent decided which one they will go with next. GRRM did confirm that it will NOT be Robert's rebellion or Dunk and Egg because he is still working on Dunk and Egg and Robert's rebellion is already well known by readers and viewers that he doesnt think it will be interesting. Its very likely at this point that it will be something to do with Targ history. Dragons are a big draw to the show so HBO will likely pick up a script with both dragons and politics in it

That moment when Jon faced what seemed like imminent death in front of the Bolton cavalry was one of the most well-done things in the show, IMHO. I say that because: In hindsight, it seems totally obvious that, having gone through so much to resurrect the bugger, you'd think, they're hardly going to kill him *again*! Also in hindsight, we *saw* Davos order the riders to follow Jon, so of course they were coming up behind him. Yet somehow, in the *moment*, I forgot all that and thought he was a goner (*and* the battle lost). Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was very well done.

That's because we knew in GOT, there were no plot armours for anyone. They had killed many main characters, we knew that, that's why, there was still doubt......if that was a show where plot armour was common, that scene wouldn't be as effective..

Rickon Stark How can someone, that is barely mentioned, be the key to a kingdom? His sister didn't care if he died. even on the books, he's a minor character, as far as we know (Not going into details cause of spoilers). We all knew he was going to die and Jon would be the lord of Winterfell, in the show at least. He's not a developed character, books or show, all the shame we felt for his death is because he was an innocent child and his last name was Stark

TheLokototote69 He is the key to the north since he is the last natural male child of Ned who can father children. Sansa did care about her brother, but she had realised and already accepted the fact that he was lost because Ramsay had him. The whole key to the north thing is the reason why the Glovers and Manderlys want him to restore the Starks as rulers of the North. He is a future piece, and sometimes you dont need much infromation or development. We know he has greendreams, warging ability, he is tough and fierce for his age, and as i said a very good claim to be the future lord of Winterfell with good advisors by his side. And i dont really give a fuck about the show since they butcher every good character like Barristan selmy, Doran Martell, Roose Bolton, Wyman Manderly, Loras Tyrell, and replace it with own simplified plots that has many plotholes and things that does not make sense. Like for example Dorne where the Sand snakes wants to "avenge oberyn" and decide to kills his entire family.... that eventually leads to that they join the Targaryen boat which Doran has been planning for years in the books. It makes 0 sense to give it to the sand sankes from Doran. The only reason might be that they want some good old shock factor that they are obbessed with. Another example of their shock factor bullshit is giving away Rickon Stark and make him look like a halfwit... and yes added with that the UMBERS gives him away and SMALLJON who is among Robbs most loyal men in the books. The show is pure fan fiction and if you like the real story you should pay attention to the books. The show has become weaker since season 5 with worse plots and dialogues. Glad to help people who has less knowledge about asoiaf, easy for me to say though since i have read the books 7 times, and know more :) Have a good evening.
