Wasn't a huge fan of your very early demos, but you've really worked hard at making them very interesting and complete. Now they are fantastic! Congrats!

Loved this demo. Currently building a board to use for worship at church and for fun jam sessions. I was looking for something with plenty of versatility. I had already decided on the Horseman and was looking for a good lower gain overdrive that would stack well with it. This dual pedal is exactly what I need. Thanks for helping in my quest to build my first pedal board.

You’re welcome! And this is on my Worship board at the moment, so I can attest: it’ll work in that genre quite well

Excellent demo! As great as the BluesBreaker is, a version of this with two Klons would be my pick. The way the mids sit just feels more natural to me. The alternate mode switching on the Horseman is a KILLER feature.

Great video & demo!! Have a question, would you say that the MS does great as boost and the HM does great as an overdrive? Also... It seems to me that the horseman is capable of reaching the frontier between overdrive and distortion but staying on the overdrive side. I'm planning on getting this one and put it after my distortion for extra coloring.
@SeanPierceJohnson Жыл бұрын
Both do Boost and Drive quite nicely, just with different vibes. Morning Star is a Blues Breaker and the Horseman is a Klone.

A great price and excellent build and tone quality, im really impressed with the NUX pedals I own, Tape Core Deluxe is fantastic and one of my favourite pedals, Mod Core Deluxe, Morning Star are both great sounding at very good prices. I actually prefer the style of this pedal giving the Morning Star (Blues Breaker) and the Horseman (Klon Centaur) for me gives a better choice being two different style drives instead of two blues breakers.

the used to make the Ace of Tone which was a TS and a Blues Breaker. i was told by the company it wasn't moving quite as well, which is a shame. but this definitely has lots of great sounds.

Great demo. Subscribing to the channel to support. Very versatile pedal. Does anyone know what the Footswitch out can be used for - the NUX site states it turns the Horseman side on/off or toggles between the gold/silver modes by holding the FSW for one second. That seems kind of redundant since it's the same function of the pedal switch. Am I missing something in how this can be used?
@rockkevinrock5 ай бұрын
I suspect players who use a router/looper/switcher might have an assignable function that could be used to remotely toggle some sort of mode through that extension plugin? Although yeah I completely agree with you that seems so redundant.

Like #41st and Subscribed. Thanks for your video👍👍

From what I can tell it seems to a Klon clone and a morning glory clone. Is this accurate to anyone else?
@SeanPierceJohnson Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure I made that clear in the video that it’s a Centaur and a Blues Breaker

I much prefer this over the sister NUX pedal, the Ace of Tone. Lots of beautiful, non-abrasive glassy tones from both sides of this pedal. I can tell you were really into it!
@SeanPierceJohnson Жыл бұрын
I actually was anticipating the Ace and this was what showed up. Either way, I think both are solid combos: TS & Klon or BB & Klon. But I do quite like the BB as a foundation tone and getting more grit with the Klon

@jacksmith44602 жыл бұрын
Its likely a loose copy of the Keeley D&M drive. As that is a dual drive that one side is based on the Klon andthe other side is Bluesbreaker based and has the same routing options

The tones on this are fine. THE SWITCHING SUUUUUUCKS!!! If you are into pedals that pause with silence when you switch it on or off.

from 6 minutes on: USELESS DEMO cause the morn star is always on!
@SeanPierceJohnson Жыл бұрын
Hi Kimmo. Yes, I mistakenly left the Morning Star on while showing off the two modes of the Horseman. I did make it very clear that that was what folks were hearing though! However, it is NOT on from 6 minutes on thru the rest of the video. In fact, that portion is only about 3 minutes of the video. As far as the sample settings portion, that's kind of the point of the pedal...COMBINING the two circuits.
