Don’t worry about the critics. You should be flattered that people will watch and commit to exerting the energy to criticize your content. That’s how you know you’ve made it on KZbin! 😂 any one who has travelled to Europe knows you move and live a different pace to life. That’s one of the things I enjoy about your channel, it’s real. I love the calming vibe you and your wife have, you both exude genuine qualities. Your channel has become one of my favourites. Your the real deal and it’s a family venture👍😀

Anyone who suffers from chronic pain or illness knows only too well the importance of pacing yourself and to keep moving as long as we can. I have many health issues and had to learn that the hard way. This past spring, I overdid it on the spring clean-up and ended up in the ER. The cats are very happy outdoors, but every time they see you, they want loving!😂 I hope your weather improves so you can finish your steps. ❤

Oh Lord Shaun! People are so weird! What I love most about your content is the constant concept of “don’t be afraid to try something different to fit your situation! If it’s cooking or flooring or wall paneling. “Prepare for what’s going against plan! Don’t be afraid to try something different!” The bottom line is: “Think for yourself”. This is where the problems crop up. People want to be told what to do, unfortunately!😢

Dear Sean, your videos are extremely enjoyable the way you mix things up. Don’t worry about the critics. When you have pain you need to do whatever works to alleviate it. I hear you! The better-half and I are in the same situation. Compressed discs, arthritis, blah blah blah...and working away at acreage/house stuff, while still working! We finally got that closet painted, had left over baseboards, so we cut those...and then the nail gun died... so we bought a new one yesterday and finished up the closet today. Woohoo! Tomorrow I need to trim back the roses so we can cover them for the winter...and then we still need to clean up the garden...we're running late this year! You're doing a great job! The work is never-ending and I also think it's best to just keep at it, in bite-sized pieces, and enjoy the process!

Sean -you have such a great outlook ! There are so many out there who would get one little pain-and everything stops ! Then complain that their life isn’t going the way they want it to. I have to laugh when I go to the doctor -I’m 65 and I’ve had arthritis for probably 20 years now-but when the doctor asked me “what hurts?” I tell them -let me think about it for a moment ! Depending on the day in the activity !! I refuse to be on any medication - - I just don’t need it now -so I, like you-just push through- And it’s amazing what you can do and before you know it, you can do more than you thought you ever could ! There is a place of course for rest and medication -but like you said-there’s usually something you can get done in the meantime while you’re waiting for your body to catch up to you !!

I know what you mean by saing that health never take for granted! I was always alive and bubbly, a danser and a singer, I also drive motorbikes. Always buysy... but now.. I'm invalid, can bearly walk, cant't do anything in the house or go out. My husband is my caretaker now. The one thing I can do sometimes is driving my motorbike, but that is 2 or 3 times a year! After that, I have to recover for at least a week. Still... I've got some hobby's left. Making giftcards, special ones, and making juwelery. I'm into spinning wool and weaving on a loom, making my one clothes and do what I can. Stay positif, like me, otherwise depression is there.... You're doing good Sean! I love your vids and work!💋

Loved watching you make French Press Coffee. Now I need to get my French Press out of the cupboard and use it again. Oh, to have fresh milk again! I remember when I lived in German the milk deliver man came in a horse drawn wagon and stopped at the house. I would go out with my pail to be filled. Doing one project at a time? Never with me. ADHD requires I have multiple projects going at one time. It keeps things more interesting. It seems to rain a bit every day there.Be sure and take time foryourself.

That's right. I so relate to Pain and injury. I want to do many things around our house and yard, but I can't sometimes, and it is frustrating but like you say just keep pushing along and work on several different projects, so you don't stay in one position all the time. Hope your feet feel better soon. The cottage is coming along and so is your own space. The steps don't look too bad. France has had a Lot of rain this year. I know Normandy is like the Pacific Northwest of the US Where I grew up. Green and beautiful but at a price (Rain) LOL

I lived on a farm for 14 years and we had milk straight from the manufacturer. I helped my brother with a project and partial payment was beef liver from his steers. Nothing better than a good plate of liver piled with red onions with fried plantains on the side. Now I am hungry. My right Achilles tendon is short so if it gets stressed it pulls my foot out of shape, not fun. Take it gently because when you hit 70 it's not fun. One day you will beat the weather.

Hi,Sean. I too have suffered with a heel, tendon issue for about a year. No amount of rest would help. However,my neighbour's mother makes natural salves, etc so I bought a tin of comfrey salve. Amazingly, in about 4 months my heel has pretty much completely healed. The salve had only three ingredients.... sunflower oil, beeswax and comfrey. It has a light scent, not greasy and , oddly, stops the pain in about half an hour ( at least for me). There is likely a person in your area creating holistic medicines,so look for them at the next farmer's market. It only cost me $10 ( reg. $20) for an effective cure made from 3 real, natural substances. I also buy my honey and propolis from a local producer. I support the new catch phrase...."First, do no Pharm".😁

Heres a tip Sean for aches and pains, not a lot of people know this, rub vicks or any vapour rub or something with eucalyptus into to the area. I get a bad neck and back but knees, ankles, wrists elbows will benefit, give it a try. Do not use pure eucalyptus essential oil though thats a bit strong, you can add that to something else like a cream or Vaseline if its all you have, just dont put neat essential oils straight on the skin.
