I think the lines asking about fireworks, angels, mermaids, and unicorns is supposed to be a child's perspective of being in a warzone; they don't know what all those crazy sights and sounds are. Then it's either the parent explaining it to them or them realizing later in life what everything was.

My favorite part of the video. "is it an angel watching over us", while showing the smoke trails and flares out of focus, "no, it's an air fighter making a fuss" as you realize "oh shit, this is definitely about something awful happening".

My favorite part, too, and the part that's the hardest for me to watch. I was sure of what the "angel" was really going to be immediately after the preceding barrage and air raid siren visuals, and to borrow someone else's words, it's impossible to imagine how terrifying it is to live someplace where you're afraid of the sky.

@@Sara_Feingold Absolutely. For unsuspecting listeners and reactors, that's what it does. It gives them lovely images of magical things that could be, and tears it away immediately to reveal the devastating reality so many people live most of their lives in.

The best new age anti War song out there...it was a definite sleeper on the album (which is full of great tracks tbh) but every time I hear it now I am hooked...love the jazz breakdown in the middle and the super deep growl at the end....great reaction mate on point as usual 😎🤘

It seems this song went unnoticed to a lot of people who only heard the audio version until the video came out. I'm one of those people but I'm glad I didn't go back and listen to it again like I did for some of the other songs because now, with the video, I can appreciate the song much more. : )

I beleieve this is Tatiana's point of view od growing up in Eastern Ukraine during the war, which still rages on now, although under reported. They left the war torn region of Ukraine to be a band and have safe lives, leaving their homes and families. They cannot go back now because of the conditions, leaving the "homeless." This is why they tour incessantly live in Kyev. That is not where they are from In Ukraine. They push as a band "push farther" (Judgement Punishment reference) because there is no option other than success. This is the deepest song they have ever written. This is their lives. "I can' back hom, so I want my home back.... please don't leave us homeless." Thnaks for the eview man. I respect you point of views on music. This is a deep one if you know the story.

It's Jinjer time and I will always be here for that. I've seen the angle first hand. It's an amazing thing to see and the rockets fired on the jet went straight to the flack angle and not the jet. Great reaction to a awesome song. Peace and happy holidays to you from Stan the Alaskan.

You seem like a cool dude, I appreciate and enjoy your Jinjer reactions man, keep up the good work. Will check out some of your other reactions. Jinjer are a special merge of artist, I appreciate who they are and what they bring musically and in message, even If I myself don't vibe with every song of theirs. They live and breathe what they do and it shows. I've seen them live in a small venue in Canada last year on Halloween night and it was a show I will never forget. They are so tight.

Great reaction man. This show once again how she pulls from thier lives, growing up in a war torn place. Switch from soft (child thoughts) to deep growls (reality). The light jazz spot is awesome and your face when they went there made me laugh. I enjoy this song a lot. When you get around to it check Outlander. It was the first one I ever heard and what made me search for more. Love this band and your reactions.

The number one rule for Metal Music is.......there are no rules. Have a guitar solo, or not. Have different time signatures, no problem. Have a break down in the middle of the song? Whatever you want. The pop princesses have to subscribe to the "formula" of verse, chorus, verse, chorus, so as not to confuse their fans and to make sure they get radio air play, because they want to win one of those awards so they can feel validated in their life. They conform. Metal does not!

I took a hard pass on this song after the first time I heard it and never went back. My mistake! Now, after seeing this video over the last few days, it brings a whole new meaning to the song and a whole new appreciation from me. I wasn't paying attention to that. Hard to believe as potentially contentious as the subject matter is. I'd worried until they announced every song on Macro would get a video that we would never see this. Then again maybe really hardly anyone is actually @$$h013$ just a few loudmouth jerks. 64x as many likes is amazing.

Good reaction, I just picked up on what you said about the good things being sang in a more soft and mellow way and the bad things being sang in a very harsh and dark way and it really looks like it was what they were going for. This one is like a sleeper on the album: very good track but it doesn´t stand out so quickly as some others. You REAAALLLLLY got to do "Retrospection", official and live in Melbourne. One of the best tracks of this last album. Peace.

It's specifically about the civil war in their home region in eastern Ukraine, which is within the currently occupied zone. They fled when the war started in order to continue to make music, leaving their families behind, and were on tour ever since just to make ends meet (they obviously were pretty unknown back then), right until covid came along. There is one more song on Macro that will get a video too, proper new songs will come next year, along with their next album.
