You sound like an introvert which is fine, but people can enjoy themselves. In this case the club wasn’t the issue it was the choices most young women make these days that society says is okay that got her wherever she is. She was there to prostitute end of story and that’s what happened. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with going out. If you’re scared in any way stay home. I know all about how to think and behave in many an environment that most never consider going, much less are even aware of or want to be. I'm speaking from experience and the wisdom of 54 years. No, there isn't anything wrong with going out and having fun, but the right sort of fun is best. What clubs have to offer isn't the best of the best - not in the least, most dance club environments, whether familiar with half the reg crew-crowd or not, are far from wholesome, pure environments, much less sober ones. Better off camping with a smaller group of real friends, gathering at a home for dinners and movies, games, afternoons by the pool or on a beach, sledding, skating... you get the picture... twit-twerkering-flirting-flaunting-twatevering is entirely different, and not essential in life..messed up priorities, folly in combination with seeing/viewing something like clubbing through the conditioned/programmed world's lens of complacency is never anything close to 'okay'
