Just a thought as regards electricity....Can you bring enough resources to construct a solar panel so you can charge your ATV while you loot..Once finished, leave the solar panel for use next time....Set up a couple charging stations along the way.

on a side note build a transformer. remove the circuit board dissassemble the transformer Bang. you have a small circuit board extra repeat until you have so many CB you don't know what to do with them

this appear to be the same for battery and any devices that have removable circuit board. if it's empty. it still returns one as it's part of the building parts and you get them all even if it's missing :)

While it sounds like an ideal solution, i don’t wanna cheese the game. Let it fly or fail on its own merit. :-). This while mighty useful would be almost exploit, and would make the game less tense and exciting. Thx for the tip but this time ill pass ;-)
